I visited this facility

AVIVA Maybelle Carter was a nice place. They have a lot to offer there. They even have a mental health unit for people with dementia. The food was very good and very appetizing. What I liked best is the friendliness of the staff. Everything was good. I went during mealtime, and the food was very nicely laid out and healthy. The tenants seemed to be enjoying it very much. They had an outside place and a little flower garden outside. It was good. The staff seemed to be doing well with the tenants and they were very pleasant and informative. They had an activity room. The dining area was very clean and laid out. The tables looked nice for the tenants to sit down and eat at. They had good communication with each other.

We found AVIVA Maybelle Carter for my sister, and she's very pleased with it. It had a wonderful, wide, open entry control. It appeared to be clean, and kind of quiet. The staff is professional. They seemed to care, and they've shown a lot of interest, particularly in her first couple of days there. They had just refurbished most of the building. It was well-painted and clean, with all the necessary amenities, and it seemed to be comfortable.

My mom has moved into Sage Hill Maybelle Carter. It was more than excellent care; they are incredible. Every staff that we have met is so caring and considerate. They don't make you feel like they're rushed. It's just been a very good experience, and the food's very good. The facility is very nice and very well-kept. They do bingo, take them on outings, and have choirs. They have a lot of activities. My mom doesn't need to have a lot of amenities. They don't have a pool or anything like that. They have a porch outside where they can sit, a nice community room, and game rooms.

I visited this facility

Sage Hill Maybelle Carter was a nice facility. However, it's not what my dad needs at this time. I was met by a woman who was in charge of the intake of new residents and she was very engaging and talked to me about all aspects of the facility. She immediately made herself available to give me a full tour. She has a lot of pride in the facility, and I could see that coming through in the way that she described it and also in the freedom with which she led me through the facility. There was nothing that she didn't want me to see. Their residents there seemed full of life, happy, social, and friendly. I found the quality of life there seemed to be very good. Being that I did not set up an appointment, I just showed up without any announcement, I can be assured that my experience was authentic because there was no preparation in advance from the facility. The rooms were adequate. They do the appropriate renovations in between residents to make sure that it's clean and presentable. I saw a couple of rooms occupied by residents who have lived there for some time, and they had a good feeling inside. The people seemed happy. I wasn't sure if there was going to be a positive environment, but it does seem that way overall. The dining area itself was large and open and has floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over a somewhat wooded area, which I thought was very pleasant. I did not try the food. However, I looked at a sample menu and it looked fairly well-rounded. The people who live in independent living have their own kitchens, so they're able to cook their own food as well. They acknowledged that some of the facilities are a bit outdated and that they are about to undergo a large renovation. The staff during the tour was happy to be representing this facility. She seems to have personal relationships with a lot of the residents and staff in a way that felt authentic to me. I don't see why the residents would put on a show for me, so it felt very authentic.

I visited this facility

I toured Sage Hill Maybelle Carter for my uncle. It was beautiful. I loved the layout of it. I met the staff, and it was very nice. The walkthrough was fine and everybody was willing to help me. They didn't know that I was coming, but they were very nice. I showed them my email from the place that told me to be there, and they were very nice, and we had the walkthrough, and everything went fine. We were able to pick out which room we would like. They were very nice, and the apartments are nice. That's going to be my choice. The dining area was very lovely. I love the layout of it; I was shocked. It was very nice. And they said that they were remodeling ,and I'm like, "Wow, what else would you do with the place to look good?" I loved all the little activity rules, the things they had, and the plannings that they have. They have a library, a community room, and they have a lot of stuff to do from outside and everything else. I am surprised and shocked. I didn't get to see the food, but I went to the kitchen, and the people were very nice and everything was nice.

Maybelle Carter Living is an older facility, but it's maintained well. It's like an apartment building. It has long hallways, but it looks nice and clean. My parents have everything they need there. The staff is wonderful. They're available around the clock, and they've been very attentive to their needs. They have plenty of activities. They have bingo, painting classes, and a men's club where they get to play cornhole or dine together. The dining areas are also very nice with linen tablecloths and a grand piano. They serve good food, too.

We went here and it was really nice. My mother really liked the apartment. The staff was super nice. It was just a really close call. However, the location was a factor with that. It was just too far from us, and they didn't have the transportation available yet. My mother got to see the apartment and she loved it. We didn't really see anything else. The staff snuck my mother in to see the apartment, but we didn't go in. My mother said the apartment was nice. Outside was very nice, too.

Everybody was nice. The lady who took me on a tour was very nice, too. She showed me all the rooms. The rooms were old, but they were OK. The living atmosphere was great. The dining area was nice, and the food looked good. They have a library, and they had a cookout area where you can have family over, which is nice.

We're satisfied and they've lived up to our expectations. My mother's room is kept very clean. Their staff is very thorough and consistent with what they do. Their food menu has a variety and looks good. They have a lot of different activities, more than she can participate in. They have a hair and nail salon, exercise room and classes, an outdoor pavilion where they have cookouts, and other outdoor activities. They've been very helpful and very courteous.

My mom has moved in. It's a homey, comfortable place. Her room is a little small, but she likes it better than where she was, even though her old room was bigger. My mom's room now is more comfortable for her. They have a lot of activities, mostly music. The menu is country-style, but it's very good. This place has a lot of help. Every time I call, there is somebody there with my mom. The people that work there have been there for a long period of time.

Mom is satisfied here; she said the food is excellent and has eaten more there than she has eaten in a long time. The room is approximately 600 sq. ft. They have all kinds of card game activities, bingo, and church facilities.

Maybelle Carter was nice and clean. It felt like you were cared for and like they were looking after folks. Everybody seemed really friendly. The rooms were nice, and the food was good. They had exercises and art classes, played cards, had a movie day and bible study with local churches, and had a library. They also had a garden, grounds with a walking path, and a travel club once a month where they looked at different locations, which was kind of fun. They seemed to really be a community. They provided a service where they would take them to a doctor within a certain time frame, which was nice. They would take them to the grocery store once a week, which was fantastic, and serve three meals a day. They took them shopping twice a week in two different locations and did other kinds of outings.

I visited this facility

Maybelle Carter is an older facility, the memory care unit is smaller, and is not as aesthetically appealing as some of the newer facilities. I saw a shared room, it was too small, and it would not work for my family member. There was just not enough space.

I visited this facility

The rooms were very nice. They had a lot of different cafeterias; an independent-living cafeteria downstairs, and assisted living cafeterias on the floor. They had a lot of grounds including a walking area; which I thought was better, but I didn’t see as many activities taking place. The staff seemed very efficient. They had a beauty parlor, and a place where people were watching TV, waiting for visitors to come.
