Columbia Metropolitan Airport is 9.9 miles from the community. Walmart, Downtown Columbia, Riverbank Zoo, River Front Park and Fort Jackson are all just a short drive from Carolina Gardens Kathwood.

Trenholm Road has nice sidewalks with numerous nearby churches, homes, spas, and medical offices.

Favorite resident activities:
Playing afternoon BINGO for fun prizes and special treats. Exercising with friends to enhance mobility, flexibility, and balance. Lounging in the courtyard just to listen to the birds or watch the turtles or feeding our very own rabbit named Lucky. Lucky loves attention from staff and residents and sharing his beautiful environment.

The Dining Service Manager has been preparing home style meals with love for 20 years at Carolina Gardens Kathwood. Rosa, is dedicated to serving her community as if each person was her own family member. Her longevity, dedication, and skill in this position is commendable.  
Carolina Gardens Kathwood offers a seasonal menu with 146 different entrees. There is also an "Always available Menu" that includes a Chef Salad, All American Burger, Chicken Tenders, Cottage Cheese Plate, Chicken Salad Croissant and Hot Dog. Breakfast includes a daily breakfast special, Choice of meats, Eggs cooked to order, Fresh Fruit, a large variety of cereals, grits / oatmeal and choice of toasted breads. Snacks are available around the clock.
