My mom moved into Strabane Woods Of Washington. She's at assisted living level two. They have three levels and then memory care. There's a doctor on site who does a lot of the assessments, and they put her at level two, then she'll go up to level three, and then after level three, it's memory care. Each of them has an a la carte care package that's at a different price. You pay a different amount for each level of care. The basic room rate is $4,200 a month, and then you pay for your level of care on top of that. So, right now, it's $1,200 per month for level two care. It's awesome. We love it. They're great. It is a great place and has great people. Even just from when you called them the very first time, they've been wonderful. The coordinator gave me her cell phone number. My mom is very happy. I looked at the menu, and it was basic. The facility is wonderful, and it feels like a home. It didn't feel like a hospital. It's carpeted. There are lamps and furniture, and it's nice. They have activities every day to keep her busy.

I've chosen Strabane Woods of Washington mainly because of its location. I met the person who was in charge of the tour, and she showed me several different locations and she knew what I was looking for. She took me to one that met my requirements and it has to be redone because the person just moved out, but that's fine. They had quite a few different floor plans. I chose one with a one-bedroom. They gave me a paper on all the different activities they do and when they do them. They have courtyards and a library.

We toured Strabane Woods. It was very positive. Everything looked nice, neat, and attractive. I like the lobby a lot. They were doing a karaoke program when we walked in, and there were a lot of residents there participating, so that was nice. The grounds are attractive. They seem to have a lot of programs, and I like their transportation services. The staff who toured us was very knowledgeable and very helpful. All the staff was very friendly as we walked through the building. It's a very pleasant place to be. The units I looked at were not lived in. But I thought they were more spacious than I expected, and I liked the fact that they had two closets in every room. They seem very clean. They were repainting at that point, so you could tell that they were trying to take good care of them. They were updating and refurbishing to get ready for a new resident. I thought their dining area was attractive. It seemed spacious, and the tables were not jammed in or anything like that.
