My dad is in Tabor Crest Memory Care in Portland. I think they keep the place really clean, and they're very patient with my dad. At times, he can be kind of difficult, but they take really good care of him. The staff seems very nice and very caring, and I appreciate that. I've never met anyone there who wasn't super nice and helpful. I have not tried the food, but I've been there when he's eaten, and he seems to like it and eats really well. It's a pretty small place, but they have a big dining room where everyone eats together. I don't know how often it is, but they have someone who comes in and plays the piano and plays music for them. They kind of do sing-alongs, or people can do karaoke if they want. They have a living room area where they can all watch shows together. I know they do different activities. I've come in and found them doing those. They also have a calendar on the wall that tells you what's going on. The other facilities my dad was in weren't nearly as nice as this one, and even kind of smelled a little bit. This is one of the cleanest places I've seen, that's why I like it there so much.
