I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My wife is at Wildwood Care Center, and it's a nursing home. I am quite happy with it so far. The caregivers are excellent and have very positive attitudes with my wife who sometimes can be difficult to work with; they are always pleasant with her, keep her clean, and keep up well with her medication. Food has been good, and she eats pretty much everything they give her. I could wish that her room were a little larger, but it's adequate, and she's alone in her room. Pricing is about what I found to be average for what they offer in this area. It's a centrally located facility here in Tulsa, and it has easy access to the entire area. It is staffed well, and they seem to have plenty of staff to handle the residents they have. It's a clean, comfortable, and somewhat homey facility.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My father was in Wildwood Care Center. The nurses and technicians were caring, and they followed through with everything. The place was a little run down and needed new furniture badly. The administrative staff was not that caring, but I'd give the nursing staff and the technical staff, or the people that actually care for my father, a four out of four, and the administrators a two out of four. But I would give the place overall a four because the administrators never really came into contact with my father; he only saw the nurses and the techs. It was very mediocre because it has a lot of varying levels of people's illnesses, and not everyone is able to talk and feed themselves. But my father is able to talk and feed himself, so it was difficult for him. He was only in there about a month, but I thought it was enough for me to tell you that I loved the nurses and the techs. They sat with me the whole time. I was sitting in there, they always sat with me, and they would call me. If they thought I needed to come in, they would call me right away.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My 95 year old mother was at Wildwood for two weeks for skilled nursing to rehab after a fall in which she cracked her pelvis. I was extremely pleased with the care and friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facility. I was there every day as was my brother at different times during the day and we did not ever encounter any problems or things that would be upsetting. We were kept well informed and and our wishes were respected. We did not eat there, but the food looked good and the menus seemed well balanced. I would recommend this place.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My friend is doing fine at Wildwood Care Center. It is a nursing center that also provides rehab and long-term care. We have come across this through a health worker that has been working with her. I also know of this nursing home because I have a friend who has her mother in it. The facility is small. There's only 40 people in it. Its location also has a lot to do with the choice. It is very near all of her friends, so therefore a lot of people can drop in to visit her. The staff is generally friendly. Everybody knows me and would say hello when I walk in. However, I do get frustrated with their service. It seems like my friend doesn't get her laundry done promptly. A lot of times also, her bed isn't made when I visited her. With regards to food, some days she seems to like it, some days she doesn't, but that's no surprise at all. They have plenty of things to improve on. Like for example, they could add in more activities. Right now, they have physical therapy, some educational things, and bingo. Also the doctor needs to see their patients more than just once a month because their health changes rapidly. Overall, for what Wildwood Care Center is and considering that they accept Medicare and Medicaid clients, I would give them a high rating. It's not fancy but it is a well-run and friendly facility.

    I visited this facility

I have been in this facility and witnessed firsthand employees screaming at each other and having fights. It sounds like a bar at night and there is so much noise that the old people there cannot sleep. I would not keep anyone in this nursing home if I loved them and wanted them to get good care.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My grandmother was a resident at Wildwood. It was a horrible experience.i placed her in this facility due to it being small and believing she would receive decent care. My grandmother was over medicated due to two pain patches being placed on her by mistake. Her room was constantly cold in the winter and even though several complaints were made her room stayed at a cold 68 degrees. The staff did not monitor her fluid intake or output she constantly had UTI's and dehydration. Several times we waited for 45 min to an hour for her call light to be answered. Dr. Bryan did not see my grandmother he only looked at her file but did not actually view her. I waited with her to see the Dr but he only saw skilled patients and let the director of nursing who is a RN do all of the diagnosing and prescribing of meds. My grandmother became non responsive and they waited several hours to call for emergency help and notify family. She almost passed away with very low vitals. The list goes on! I have now placed her in another nursing home where she is in great health. I wouldn't recommend Wildwood to anyone. Their moto is the residents have lived long lives and most are dehydrated and have UTI's so they just don't care.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My great grandmother stayed in this nursing home after her progression with alzhiemers. Myself and other members of my family visited her there during this time. The staff at Wildwood was very friendly and caring and took the time to get to know what they could about her and the family. The facilities were clean and well kept. The home was decorated for every holiday. It was a very pleasant experience even considering the hard times that it created in the family. I would be very likey to recomend this nursing home to a friend or anyone else seekning out care for thier loved ones. The satff was very friendly and caring they also did a great job of caring for my grandmother and administering her health care. The staff payed special attention to her medicine administration and making sure that she followed a special diet that she required due to her allergies of chocolate and other food items.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My Grandmother was a resident of this facility for a little over a year. My Grandmother had Alzhiemer's disease and was very combative at times. This nursing home was very caring, down to the last minute. The staff became like extended family over time, I have never seen a facility that cared so lovingly for their patients. Abuse was a big concern we had when we made the decision to put my grandma in a facility, this facility put our minds to ease due to the quality of the staff. Each staff member takes the time to form a bond with the residents and cares for each resident as if they where family. My Family was very happy with the entire experience. The extra loving care provided at the end was amazing! I knew they had cared very deeply for my Grandma at the end as the staff sat in her room with us crying as she took her last breathe. The respect they gave us as we gathered my grandma's belongings was amazing, they did not rush us or crowd us at any point in time. I would highly recommend this nursing home for anyone's loved ones.
