The OT staff at Kaiser Rehabilitation Center is working with my husband to get him to hold the eating utensil and then do the movement back and forth from the plate to his mouth. He has been able to do that pretty well now. He is improving in a lot of different areas and fairly quickly. He is up in the wheelchair in the morning by about 8 o’clock and somewhere between 6 and 6:30, he has breakfast. He likes the fact that there’s a real schedule here with things to do everyday. I think that’s very helpful for him because he’s a much regimented person. He is regaining some strength and some mobility that he had not had in the beginning. So I think it’s going very well.
