My dad is in assisted living at Covenant Living at Inverness. It has been pretty good. It's a fancy place. It's a large place, but their memory care is not very large, and that's where we're running into problems right now. The overall experience has been good there, but we're having some frustrations with them right now as far as taking care of my dad in assisted living and not being able to have a room for him in memory care. They have plenty of things that cost lots of money there. My dad's room is very nice. He's got a double-sized room in assisted living and it's very nice. We've put some good furniture in there for him the way he likes it. The dining area is pretty nice. The staff are all very friendly and they all seem to know my dad and take care of him pretty well. They do pretty well with their upkeep and maintenance. There are a few times that they don't clean the room quite as good as they could, but they do pretty good. They have lots of good activities. Dad usually doesn't want to participate in them, and they haven't figured out how to get them to participate. They have some good activities, but Dad doesn't take advantage of them.

The rooms are nice sized and comfortable. Some of the staff try to be very helpful but can't say the same for management. The food lacks much to be desired and dining is understaffed. Housekeeping is practically non-existent as well as understaffed. You have to take out your own trash. You can only travel free on Tuesday and Wednesday and you pay the rest of the time and it is expensive. Carpet is dirty and worn on several floors. People pay all different rates to move in. You will need a few hundred thousand to move in and the rent is high.

My husband stayed at Covenant Living at Inverness and got some skilled nursing. He was a patient there. He got nursing care, physical therapy, and speech therapy there. I was able to come out there any time; there were no visiting hours. I was able to stay with him each night, and they also allowed me to eat meals with him like lunch and dinner. The least we liked about it was that sometimes we had to wait for a nurse to come if we needed something. Sometimes they would get busy, and it would take a while to come and help us. But other than that, it was a very nice place. The staff were very attentive. They were very nice and very pleasant and always willing to help my husband with anything. I was able to have several meals there with him, and the food was very good and very delicious. Breakfast was usually a choice of biscuits and gravy or eggs any way you wanted. Lunch was sometimes grilled chicken with rice and a vegetable. The desserts were really good. It was like cheesecake or a pie for dessert. He was able to get flavored water, tea, coffee, or juice for breakfast. For dinner sometimes it was baked fish, some type of steak, mashed potatoes, and gravy. It was very good. My husband's room was very nice. He had a closet and a dresser to keep his clothes in. He had a bathroom and a sink. There was no shower. Down the hall, there's a shower room. When he wanted to take a shower, they would take him down to the shower room. They had kind of a schedule for showers. On certain days of the week, he could have a shower. There is one window in his room. There was a nice reclining chair. If he didn't want to be in the bed all the time, he could use his reclining chair. There's plenty of light in the room. Medicare paid for his time there.

My Grandmother was a resident at Covenant Living for 6 years. She lived in independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing. I would NOT recommend this facility for anything other than independent living. If your loved one can care for themself, it's fine. The apartments are expensive, but very nice. If they need more care, please keep looking! My Grandmother received moderate care at best. Most of the time her care was subpar. I was on the phone with her on more than one occasion when the staff didn't know I was there and the way they treated her was NOT good. I tried on a couple of occasions to get my Grandmother to move, but she was in her 90's, and she was tired. She didn't want to move again. Please do your research. Don't just go on a tour. They will show you only the good. Drop by in the evening or on the weekend, and you will see a better picture of what the residents deal with. My Grandmother did have a few caregivers who were amazing. But the vast majority were not. You would think that for the buy in cost plus the monthly cost, you would get a high level of care. Not so here.

My mother was a resident of long term care and was treated horribly. She was allowed to fall and get injured 4 times even with 24 hour “care”. She had a few wonderful caregivers but the vast majority provided by Incare were uncaring and untrained. I regret that my mother ever spent time in this facility. My mother had dementia and was treated with little respect. Please do a great deal of research before placing your loved ones. Don’t believe the marketing.

The move-in process at Covenant Living at Inverness was pretty seamless and Mom seems pretty happy there. They have activities and the grounds are really pretty. Her apartment is beautiful. They helped with the move-in process and helped me find movers and people to help pack and all that kind of thing. I've never eaten in the main cafeteria. They have a bistro and the food there is OK. They have a pool, a workout room, a big meeting room, a library, and a craft room, and Mom takes painting classes. They have lots of sitting areas or little nooks if you want to work a puzzle, and there's a billiard room. She has a little patio.

We liked the Covenant Living at Inverness the most, of the places we went to. Well, just to be honest, it has everything, and they did have 24/7 security, someone, a live person at the gate, and that was nice. The facility all around was just beautiful. The monthly fee wasn't so bad, it was what they wanted you to put upfront, and we just couldn't see doing that. Ours was three hundred and forty-six thousand, five hundred dollars for what we wanted. We wanted at least a two-bedroom, two bath. Now, 90 percent of that would be refundable if you didn't use it. The rooms were wonderful. They were large enough. They were nice, plus they had cottages. We didn't look at a cottage because at the time we didn't think we wanted one. In independent living, I think we had covered parking. We had exercise rooms, and we had a hair salon. In the continuing care, they would keep you till you die. In their food plan, they just give you so much money. They didn't supply you with three meals a day. They just gave you so much money, and then you went and spent it in their facility, which looks very nice, or you can go outside to get it. Everyone we came in contact with was excellent. Everything was nice, well kept, the grounds were beautiful. It's a wonderful place.

Covenant Living at Inverness' location makes it an obvious first choice for us. They didn't have a vacancy, so we just saw somebody's apartment. We're on their waiting list and we were impressed with the place. But we haven't looked at another place so we don't know how to compare it. Their representative Terry was very nice, and all in all we were psyched and pleased. We also saw the dining room, library and the gathering place, we can't see too much because it's the middle of COVID-19. The facility looked very nice and it had a bar and a garage.

I am responding to the review by Tulsaman. There is an old adage in business that says, "If you really want to know what's going on, pay attention to the people closet to the action." I am an 11 year resident of Inverness Village and I strongly take exception to what Tulsaman said. I, and everyone I know out here, are totally pleased with communication with the staff and administration of IV. The food, in all of our dining venues is excellent! There are two doctors on staff and are available several times a week as well as a host of nurses and other healthcare workers. In my 11 years here, I have never seen anyone move out quickly. Some have passed within months of coming to IV, but they had health challenges when they came. The monthly rates here are very competitive with other high end CCRS in Tulsa and the vast range of services and amenities provided by the monthly fees is impressive. Again, I am someone closet to the action and I LOVE Inverness Village. I only wish I had come 3-4 years earlier!

Avoid this place. They are good with their marketing and promises. But once you’re in, they show their true colors. Poor communication. Terrible food (Sodexo). They promote a doctor on staff. She’s great but only there once a day. We’ve seen residents move out quickly. It’s surely not worth the fee or the monthly rate. Save your loved ones a lot of time and money. They deserve better than Inverness

Inverness Village was a fancy place with beautiful apartments and great amenities. It was like a village with a number of different areas. The apartments were large, very well appointed, and well maintained. The grounds were well maintained. The staff was fantastic. The food was great.

We toured the independent living section of Inverness Village Tulsa. They had a restaurant, a place for the residents to do their hair, and a post office. The place was well-maintained and beautiful, and the apartments were really nice. They also have a dog-walk, exercise room, there's gaming all over, like pool, Bingo, and so on. They were really exquisite. The person who assisted us answered all our questions, she was very nice.

We did tour Inverness -- which is extremely expensive -- but we got the whole tour. We saw the dining hall, the swimming pool, game room, and a big dining hall. There was a place for programs to take place, a library, and it’s very impressive. It’s a retirement community and so you buy into it, an apartment, duplex, or a cottage -- that’s the highest level -- but we decided it was not for us. It was a large community with a big community building and lots of grounds. They could even have a little garden, and it’s very nice, very attractive. If someone had lots of money, it would be just the right place to go. They had a plot for the residents to plant their little piece of the garden, the landscaping was gorgeous, and it was the community where they had a guardhouse so anybody going in had to stop at the guardhouse and be inspected there.

We liked Inverness Village. It was upscale. The staff that we met was fine. It was quiet, and it was really nice.

I had heard good things about Inverness. I made sure they would allow residents to have overnight guests before we put my mother there. Mom was there less than 48 hrs when they changed the policy. Now we are forced to consider moving her again because of this policy.

Inverness Village was a very nice place, but they ended up turning us down because they felt like my husband had a little bit too high level of care for their facility. I didn’t see anything that I thought they could improve on. It was a very nice facility. The room might be just a tad smaller than I would have liked, but it was still a very nice room.

My mother was at Inverness for 48 hours before I had to remove her myself and take her to the ER for congestive heart failure due to the refusal of the one and only nurse on duty to administer her Lasix medication. I told the nurse my mother was retaining fluid and having trouble breathing and her medication was vital. She called the doctor who said he would see my mom next week, she would have died by then. She was readmitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure. The hospital doctor didn't understand why Inverness didn't contact him. This place is nothing more than a decorated sub-par nursing home. We were told they were a skilled rehab center. NOT SO. They have no protocol to deal with patient medical issues, other than to say, "She can see a doctor next week."

We just moved my father at Inverness Village a week ago. The staff were very nice. They were friendly and extremely helpful. They did keep their appointments with me. They entertained my dad quite well. They have several dining areas. They have a gym and a pool. They have walking trails. It's really a pleasant place to be. The people are friendly. I have eaten once in their main dining room and the food is good. You can go in and out if you want in the independent area.

I visited Inverness Village for my grandmother. It was a very pretty decent place. They have a really pretty courtyard and they also have a beauty salon inside. Their rooms are very nice and clean. They are updated. The rooms themselves are more like apartments. Everybody was very friendly and so was the staff. There are a lot of different things for people to do in this facility, like game nights and exercises. The only thing I could think of that they need to improve on is their outdated lobby appearance.

Inverness village is a good facilty where my father-in-law lives. The facility is attractive and care is very good. His only complaint is the quality of food; yet he is contented there. Regular swiming classes and other phisical activites are encourged. My wife visits the home at least once and week and myself at least once a month. They have 24 hour care for emergency's and even have special wards for the patients that need 24 hour care. They staff is excellent and friendly to both resident and visitors.
