My sister has been staying in the Iris Memory Care of Edmond since January 7, and I'm really happy with it, compared to the one she went to where she fell and broke her hip. This one is a small community, with twenty residents in both of their two buildings. They're always good to get back to me and let me know how she's doing. The nurse communicates really well with me; for instance, they can tell me if she eats or if she's having any other symptoms. She gets a lot of attention from the staff, and she likes that. When I see her, she's been cleaned, has her clothes on, her hair is washed, and her clothing is washed. Sometimes, I take her clothes home if the weather's good to wash them, too, but I don't have to do that, I just choose to do that to help out. She likes it there, and she's happy. At the time, they only had a semi-private room, but I might ask later to let her move into a private room when they have one. My sister doesn't stay in her room a lot. They keep them out in the lobby most of the time. I visited the other day, and they were having a Valentine's Day party. The staff seemed really good and attentive. The food looked kind of OK, as well. The facility is not fancy, but I like the way they spaced out the furniture. They also have recliners for them. She looks more comfortable here than where she was before.

We went to see Iris Memory Care of Edmond and talked to them. It was a lovely experience. We were shown the rooms and the nice facility. It very much felt like home. The residents seemed like they were happy there. The staff was very kind, very informative, and well versed in memory care. They had people who worked there for a long time. The facility was very clean and well cared for.

Iris Memory Care of Edmond is strictly memory care. It's a very small place, it had small units, and it's very up-to-date. They had gardening and a courtyard. It's a very nice facility. The staff seemed very good with the residents; I was able to watch their interaction.

I moved my Dad to Iris Memory Care from another memory care facility in OKC. I live out of state and wanted a safe, caring community for him with great communication. Iris exceeded all my expectations. The staff knew my Dad, looked for ways to engage him, provide activities and field trips he enjoyed and their communication was excellent. They provided opportunities to FaceTime with him. When I visited the facility I felt included and welcomed. Daddy was well cared for, supported and loved at Iris. And I was too.

Iris Memory Care is a new place. It has large rooms and wide hallways. It is thoughtfully designed. They specialize in dementia patients. They have two separate buildings for patients at two different stages. The more advanced residents were separate from those that were in the earlier stages of dementia. The person who assisted me was excellent. She was very informative. Also, some of the staff members I met seemed to be very competent. They had registered nurse whereas not all the places I visited had registered nurses. The dining area had a very open floor plan and a very convenient interface between the cooking area and the eating area. The residents have direct access to the cooks. I didn't observe any activities. Some people were napping, some people were watching TV, and some were talking to care providers.

5 stars doesn't say enough about Iris, their level of care is beyond excellent. We placed my father in their care, he had end-stage Alzheimers, they were kind and compassionate, not only to my father, but to the entire family. The staff at Iris acted as our advocates as we navigated geriatric psych and hospice. He passed comfortably in a beautiful facility, surrounded by people who truly cared for my father. I am grateful beyond words. My mother has also spend time at Iris, she had a catastrophic fall, that caused a bilateral brain bleed. They set up home health, physical therapy and fully helped with her rehabilitation so she could return home. We highly recommend Iris Memory Care.

The people at Iris Memory Care were very helpful and knowledgeable. My mother-in-law was only there for 6 days, but the people were very easy to work with. I don't have problems with them whatsoever, I'd recommend them, and if I had to take somebody there again, I would.
