My sister moved to Heritage of Hudson. She's in their memory care unit, and we chose it for her because it had a very good reputation. It's highly recommended by another nursing home facility that my sister couldn't get into. They said the personnel there are really nice people. I looked into some of the facility's statistics, and they don't have a high turnover with their higher-level people. I went there, and I liked how clean the facility was. The food was also good, and that was really important to me because, as my sister's Alzheimer's progresses, she may not remember how beautiful a place is, but she'll remember the food. I appreciate that not only are the staff members professional, but they're also compassionate. The people who interviewed me and talked with me about placing my sister there took a lot of time with me to explain the services that they provide. They have also lived up to what they told me. The food is good, the place is clean, and they are attentive to my sister's needs and check in on her regularly. They try very hard to accommodate her wishes. I really appreciated that they had meetings with my sister and me to get us acquainted with the personnel and also with the services that they provide. I also did my research and homework and saw that they have a 4.5-star rating, which was very important.
