My sister was at The Indigo at Beavercreek for respite care, and she loved it. She thought that was the best place, and she was disappointed when she had to come home. We would have kept her there had they been able to take Medicaid. She wound up staying an extra couple of days while they were trying to figure out if they were taking Medicaid. They finally decided that they weren't able to take Medicaid. They only have memory care, and her room was adequate. It had a bed, and they got her a recliner and a TV. She had a fairly good-sized bathroom and a decent-sized closet for the little bit of clothing that we took with us for her to have. It was also very clean. The staff members were very kind and paid attention. The director had told me that they had based the staffing on the number of patients that they had. It was three to one or something like that, so the staff wasn't overwhelmed. They were very good and very attentive. They made sure that if somebody needed a walker and they got up and walked without it, they went and caught that person and made sure that they had the equipment that they needed. They were constantly watching to make sure that nobody had a fall or an accident. They were also very good about incontinence. From what I saw, they were very good with all of the residents that were there, making sure that they got into activities, they got their meds on time, and they got showers and that kind of stuff. They also kept everybody busy. They had all kinds of activities, and the activities director or the person doing the activities had all kinds of really good ideas for things to do. She had them do some coloring, some word searches, and puzzles. They made little pom-pom monsters, which was fun. They made necklaces and all kinds of different crafts. Every day was something different.

I know that my Mom is safe and well taken care of. The staff is so friendly and I have spent a lot of time there visiting in the past. Thank you guys for being so caring! The facility is clean and the eating area looks like a restaurant. There are music times, small concerts, and one-on-one interactions. The food is always great as you can eat there with your loved one. (let them know if you plan to in advance)
