"The staff in Knopp is awesome and wonderful. It's a very clean place without an odor. There are several times that if I call my dad and he doesn't answer, I can call up there and they'll tell me that he's in either the dining hall or visiting with one of the other residents. If there is any kind of incident, they would call me to let me know what's going on. They play bingo, card games, dominoes, exercise classes, and have people come in to play music. He's in a single room and shares a bathroom with another gentleman, and they shower down the hall. My dad likes it there and loves the food."

"My father was in Knopp Healthcare & Rehab. And when he got out of there, he had all of his clothes. The only thing he didn't like about it is because they had locked everything down, but that was right when covid started. He didn't like that my mom couldn't come to visit him, but that's his only complaint. He said the food was great. His room there was nice, clean, and everything was good. With regards to activities, everything was good, although he couldn't participate because of his dementia. The communication was good. When you called there, they would get the nurse who was in charge of him and you could talk to them right away."

"My Mother was a resident there , prior to her death. Her room was spacious with a large closet. The housekeepers kept the area clean and fresh. The food was delicious in ample amounts! The staff worked well together to ensure that Mother’s needs were met. The Director interacted with the residents and their families frequently. There were many, varied activities in which the residents could participate. There were special events in which families were invited. Family input was encouraged. Mother was on Hospice Services; the staffs of both entities worked together to keep her comfortable, for which I will always be grateful. I have recommended Knopp Retirement Center to others, and I will continue to do so."

"My mother was at Bandera Rehabilitation And Health Care Center for a month. They didn't have enough help, but the people were very nice and tried their hardest. When people call for help, they wait a long time. You hear people calling and screaming for help. The facility was OK and had enough room for everybody. They had a dining room and activities every day. They didn't have enough aides to individually take care of them. They had taken her to the dining room in her wheelchair and thought that she was staying there, but a patient caught her going out the front door. There was no security at the door. I asked them to put an alarm on her wheelchair and they never did. Some of the food was very good, but they give things to people at night that older people shouldn't be eating. She's been there twice. It was better a few years ago."

"My sister is a resident of this home. Unlike other nursing homes, I can walk in to this home without hold my breath. This place is super clean, and their staff is AWESOME! they work hard with their residents and they're super friendly/helpful!! They take care of the residents like there own kids. They are a 10 for me. "
