"This review is more about an individual than the facility as a whole. My mom has been in the Willowood facility going on 10 years now. I live out of state. Mom is essentially deaf at this point so phone conversations are more frustrating than fulfilling. Luckily, Jeannine has gone out of her way to make sure I connected with my mom. She sends videos, pictures and relays messages. She helped coordinate trips out with my mom when I am in town. Jeannine is essentially the lifeline between my Mom and me. Keeping the relationship alive as much as possible. Without Jeannine's help it would feel like my Mom is out of my life at this point. Instead I get to see pictures, videos and so much more that keeps the relationship as much as it possibly can. I am forever grateful."

"My friend was in Brunswick Pointe Transitional Care for rehab. I really liked it. I never had any complaints, ever. It was good there because the other place he had, he hated it so much. He actually called 911 to get out of it. The room was really nice. It's like a newer place. The nurses were nice. They were helpful. It's cozy. They got ice cream stores. Free ice cream for the family, that's cute. It was very clean."

"Avenue at Strongsville is pretty new. They're still in the process of trying to fill positions, but in the part that my mother's at, which is in memory care, they seemed to care about her and get to know them. They constantly call me with questions, like when she has concerns because of her memory, she tends to worry a lot. They'll call me to just check and make sure that everything's OK, just to make sure that she understands that everything is OK. It's a good place for her, but they still are short-staffed. They have a library, they have a hairdresser, and they do field trips."

"My dad has been living at Shurmer Place Memory Assisted Living (Altenheim Senior Living) for almost two years. I am very happy with the quality of care and love he has been given, and the respect he has been shown, while there. Shurmer Place MAL Executive Director Beth S. has very high standards for this facility and this is reflected in her staff (which, for the most part, has seen very little turnover in the last two years since Shurmer opened.) The nursing staff is very professional and attentive to the Shurmer residents. The companions and the activities, dietary, housekeeping, and reception employees are likewise very warm and caring toward the residents. All of the staff is very responsive to family members' questions or concerns about their loved ones. Even now, although I cannot visit my dad because of restricted visiting due to the coronavirus pandemic, I am confident that he is being well cared for by the very competent and compassionate employees at Shurmer."

"My mother has moved into the Life Care Center of Medina. It's clean and it's been a good experience. It's a very nice room, and they keep everything clean. She has a soft meal, so she eats her food and she seems to like it. The staff calls me with any problems or anything that's going on with my mom, so they're very attentive and friendly when I go in to visit her. My mom is always kept clean. I've not had a problem with her care going in and seeing her not looking well. Her clothes are always clean. My mom doesn't speak, so I was worried that she would have a hard time. She has a letterboard that she talks with. I was worried that she'd have a hard time communicating with them, but they take time with her. They do a good job. Mom always looks nice. They have to feed her too, and she's even gaining weight since she's been there."

"Great staff!! All new management that go above and beyond for the residents. Nurse know what they doing. STNA's are very responsive. Activities have a big calendar easy to read with great activities. I would 100% send my loved one back "

"I'm LM from Medina , Ohio and a recent patient at Medina Meadows nursing facility for about 3 weeks. My experience was exceptional, the entire staff made sure I was very well taken care of in all ways, always concerned about my well being. The therapy department is considered one of the best around, they worked with me every day, gave me encouragement and motivation to do the things I was capable of doing without ever pushing me. I want to thank all the staff at Medina Meadows for making my stay there a very pleasant one. I would recommend this facility if you want special care!"

"I wouldn’t let my dog stay at Samaritan Care Center. The staff was delightful and so nice, but the place smelled like a wet basement that had mold. It smelled so bad in there. The place needs a dehumidier. The layout was nice."

"Dad went to Avenue of Medina and they were the best from all the nursing homes he's been to. They have good staff and provided good care. It's a nice place and the rooms were nice as well. It had a good room setup with lots of space. It's very convenient for us. "

"I toured Western Reserve Masonic Community. It's a full-service community. So regardless of what happens as far as the decline in health is concerned, they have the facilities to look after you. It's extremely nice, very clean, no odors. The people seem happy. The staff was very good."

"I have been a resident of this facility for about six months. I am comfortable here. The room is cleaned daily and the staff has always been attentive and friendly. The meals are outstanding also. The outings are fun to look forward to. This has turned out to be a good place for me."

"I brought my grandfather in from another state to be closer, after he had a traumatic fall and needed extensive therapy. The staff at the Diplomat has been very attentive. Therapy had him up and walking in a short period of time. I am very happy with the care that he is receiving. Best of all, I can see that he is happy. I am glad that I made this decision to bring him to the Diplomat. "

"I found a place for my mother, and we like it very much. It is called Villa Camillus, and she is in their memory care. I checked around a bunch of them, and this was the best one I found. I like the looks of it -- it doesn't look like a nursing home. It is very homey, the care is very good, and they still have their dignity and are able to get up and walk around if they like in a controlled area, a safe environment. The food is good, and they have a lot of activities. It is just very nice. They have a person that comes in and does sing-along things, and they have where you can come as a family and reserve an area to be alone with your family in a living room setting. It is just very nice, and I like it very much. I would like them to do a little more toileting with her sometimes, but they have gotten better with that because she can be continent and can be incontinent. Other than that, everything is great. "
