Run away and run fast! Total ripoff! Make you pay in advance which is understandable but refuse to reimburse after patient dies fot days not used.

Furniture in rooms need repair, doors not hanging straight on nightstand. They lost one of my Mom’s hearing aids and when I asked the caregiver her response was “all the residents wear them and we can’t keep track of them all.” Lousy food. Only nice people there was physical therapist and hair stylist. Door on bathroom looks like it had been through a war. When there was ice the patio stone walk at the visitor entrance heaved and I had to squeeze through the door. I complained and they said it would get repaired in Spring. I promised them if it was not fixed in a week I would report them to the state and local fire department for a failure in fire safety. There were no activities. Place is dark like Victorian style...outdated. Carpet in main entry was thread-worn.

I found a place for my mother, and we like it very much. It is called Villa Camillus, and she is in their memory care. I checked around a bunch of them, and this was the best one I found. I like the looks of it -- it doesn't look like a nursing home. It is very homey, the care is very good, and they still have their dignity and are able to get up and walk around if they like in a controlled area, a safe environment. The food is good, and they have a lot of activities. It is just very nice. They have a person that comes in and does sing-along things, and they have where you can come as a family and reserve an area to be alone with your family in a living room setting. It is just very nice, and I like it very much. I would like them to do a little more toileting with her sometimes, but they have gotten better with that because she can be continent and can be incontinent. Other than that, everything is great.
