"Everything about this facility is awful. My mother is 85 yrs old with dementia and she was let out two nights in a row from another patient at the back door to the back yard in the middle of the night. No one notified the family...We took our mom out for a few hours to dinner and when we were gone about 4 hrs on our back to the facility we got a call and they was out of breath asking did we take our mother. When I said yes they said oh my god we thought she got our again. The State said they had a problem with her gone for over three hours and no one knew nothing. The staff is unfit, feeding her food that is not on her diet due to chronic kidney disease, don't take them to her doctors appointments they don't even have a mop in the building and trust me you can definitely see from the nasty floors that there is no mops available. They gave my mom another medicine that is taking her completely out of herself and it made my mother a bit violent and she was taken to the hospital. Now they want to remove my mother from the facility and have the audacity to try to charge us $300 a day while my mother is in the hospital. Now my mother has been back to the hospital plenty of times while at the facility and was never charged. Now she had her first violent episode and now they want to kick her out of the facility. The left hand definitely don't know what the right hand is doing. The State said they were doing an investigation because he was still trying to figure out how she is gone for over three hours and no one at the facility knew. Along with having a code to the door for it to open to let us out. They definitely need to retrain their staff and I'm talking from Administration down to the PCA's. There are people there who have no family at all coming to visit them. They got dropped off and people never come visit them. I feel sorry for them because they can get mistreated and no on would no, but because my mother has people that visit her everyday, this is why things are noticed and recorded. Hopefully the State closes this facility down and replace it with new staff from top to bottom."
