"I am appalled at the way the conditions have been becoming over here. The floors are taped because the floors are coming up, the only time you see aids when they’re on their cell phones in the hallway, can’t get your loved one changed and it’s 11 AM, there is absolutely no compassion in this place! Upon arrival today to visit a loved one there was commotion at the nurses desk they were getting ready to discharge a patient to the family because they were appalled and disgusted of the treatment that is given to their loved one! I believe it’s time to move on, and for the people that work there don’t do it for the dollar do it because you have a caring heart!! I don’t know how many times I have talked to head people in there but it looks like it goes to a deaf ear!"

"NLRC was my father's last home before he passed. His nurses always made him comfortable and took the best care of him till his last days. The staff, was very loving and caring for him and our family. They went above and beyond to let us enjoy our last moments with him. "

"Regency Heights is a skilled nursing home and the person that we placed there liked the facility. They also accepted the insurance that we have. They have case management and social works. They have activities and programs available for the residents. The residents are also enjoying the activities. There rooms are congruent, not private, but shared room. "

"Groton Regency Center has multiple levels of care. They have a nursing home, a mid level, and then assisted living. You go in the front door, and there’s a security individual there to check you in. They did a good job. The only problem is they’re very typical of some of the nursing homes that I’ve seen because a lot of people were sitting in either wheelchairs or chairs out in the hallways, and that drives me crazy. "

"I visited the nursing facility of Mystic Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, and saw nothing wrong with it. It's very clean, and the residents are very active. They also had a calendar on the wall showing all the activities, so they try to keep everybody engaged, occupied, and stimulated. The person who gave the tour was well-informed and did not put any pressure on me whatsoever. He also answered all my questions. It's a nice place, and I didn't see anything that I didn't like. I saw the menu for the week, and it looked good to me, but I didn't taste it. The facility is in top-notch shape."

"Norwichtown Rehabilitation is a nursing home and rehabilitation. They have a lot of staff, they're very helpful, and it's very easy to inquire how my mother is doing. There is always somebody that will answer or refer me to the right person so we're very satisfied with it. The staff is very efficient. They have books, puzzles, and a game room but my mother's not able to do it right now. The rehab is very good too. There are a few family rooms there too and there is a salon. There are also certain doctors that come in. They've also done a lot of renovations in their facility. It's a well-maintained community and it's close to home."

"Bride Brook Health and Rehabilitation Center is very excellent. I would go nowhere else. The staff members are overworked, but they take good care of their patients. The rooms are very spacious. They have all kinds of activities -- everything you could think of. "

"Mom is already going to be placed at Westerly Health Center. She has been there on respite abound six times, she is familiar with it, the staff is very good with her, and they actually wanted her to come there to be placed. They've got all kinds of activities. They have an activities director that has things going on all the time. She got involved with a group, they were making flowers and baskets, and they have time where they play Bingo. They play all different kinds of activities. They also encourage skills like with the ball -- a soft ball, an earth ball, and all that. They really have a lot of things going on. They go on trips and all that. It is excellently kept. Westerly Health is among the best that I have seen, and I was very impressed. The attitude of the staffing is just outstanding. Everybody from the nursing staff all the way down to the housekeeping staff and all that always stop what they are doing, say hello to you, and it doesn't matter how many times you've gone in there; they always greet you with a smile. It is really nice; it is a good place. Mom is going to become a permanent resident on the 1st of June. This was it -- hands-down for what our needs were for her. "

"I was a resident at Royal for a few weeks of rehabilitation. After Guilian Barre syndrome left me unable to function. The Royal was great, the entire staff is wonderful! From the nursing, PT, cleaning, cooking, and maintenance everyone is very helpful and kind. Even the other patients and their families are supportive and friendly. Starting my recovery here was perfect, close to home and comfortable. I would highly recommend the Royal to anyone for great care and comfort. I will always be grateful for everyone's efforts that made my stay a success! "

"My mom moved into Gladeview Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She is very, very pleased, so it's working out very well. We chose this place because of the location. The staff members were caring, kind, and happy. The staff has longevity. I think their average staff member stays for at least 16 years. It shows in their happiness to be there and take care of our elderly population. They have an activity room. They have programs that they sponsor, like music programs. They have a full month of activities, and you can participate as little as you want or as much as you want, which is great. They offer private rooms and semi-private rooms. They just kind of hit all the bases."

"The Apple Rehab Watch Hill facility is a wonderful place to put your family member. Not only do they have friendly staff, but the view is jaw dropping from the dinning room. I would have chosen this place right away for the picture perfect view of the bay if it weren't for my daughter taking care of me. Once I walked into the building I was greeted by friendly faces. There is no terrible smell that you would expect from such a place. I arrived around lunch time and the hallways were full of the smell of lasagna, my favorite dish. Later on I spoke to the director and she was nothing but sincere and kind. She gave me great advice on planning my next move. The facility is also a rehab. I have only heard great things about them, on account of my friend having to stay there after a hip replacement surgery. She told me she never received so much attention, more than any hospital would have given her! I already told my daughter to place me into this nursing home in the future, I would not trust anyone else but them. "
