My sister lived at this facility for a year and a half. The staff was amazing! They always made sure my sister felt at home. It is family owned and you can definitely tell.

I have tried to talk to staff about issues but nobody does anything about it. They advertise hearing & dental, don't count on that! My grandmother has been waiting a year. No hearing aids, broken teeth and her teeth are now getting worse. They are always short staffed. Expect your loved one to sit in wet diapers for hours. They leave the food which is mush, out for hours. The room full of gnats. My dad was there & had ALL his clothing stolen. 375.00 worth. They said we would be reimbursed by them, according to Becky, but never got it! They listen to what you say, write it down & do nothing. The therapy there is not good. My dad was there for months & barely had therapy. Once he got home, home therapy had him walking in 3 days. The owner said someone would call me but nobody has. Please find a another facility if you can!

Nurses more interested in chatting amongst themselves ignoring calls for help than actually helping patients. I personally witness numerous instances of ignoring patients needing bedpans, medication, and the ignoring of the call buttons. Three nurses on the first floor sitting at nurses station IGNORING me when I came to tell them my mom needed help and pushed the button 10 minutes ago. The board that lights up has 4 other lights indicating patients that needed a nurses help and they were ALL ignored while these nurses sat on their butts talking about a tv show! They saw me standing there and I was ignored until I loudly said “EXCUSE ME?!!!” The nice lady sharing a room with my mom, her call button was out out of her reach and I had to once again track down a nurse when the woman was yelling “Help me!” I helped her. And you know what the best part is? I looked online for reviews/complaints and these were the same complaints going on for years! I want an investigation and anyone who works there should be ashamed!

Cons: The rooms are small and inadequate for two person occupancy. The facility is severely understaffed which affects basic quality of care. Food served does not follow patient dietary guidelines. If your loved one is there, stay with them as their advocate, otherwise simple life needs will be ignored. Pros: Medical director is caring Foodservice director tries (but is hobbled with low budget products) Gardens are pretty Ample parking

At discharge patient was asked to sign for oxycodone that was supposed to go home with the patient. He was taken to the car and 10-15 minutes later his belongings came out. The oxycodone was not in his things when we arrived home. The administration says that he signed for them, there for they have no responsibility. He was placed in our car and they went back for his things. Where did they go?? They were in the possession of the staff for at least 10-15 minutes. Please think twice about going to a place with such a lax policy on controlled drugs.

SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED Greentree nurses repeatedly told me that they didn't have enough staff to look after my mother. On a pretense (that she--who is petrified of dying--had suicidal thoughts), they shipped her off to a hospital for a psych eval. The doctor at the hospital couldn't understand why she'd been sent to the hospital. If I had known at that time that I could have filed a complaint with Medicare about PATIENT DUMPING I certainly would have filed one. They also have no amplified telephones for residents who are hard of hearing (my mother's hearing aids were repeatedly lost during transport between facilities).

My Mom has been here a few months now. The place is always clean. Everyone working there are polite in every way. The takes very good care of my Mom. I visit her about 5 times a week. I recommend Greentree Manor to anyone looking for a nice place to care for their loved ones.

Right now my mom is at Greentree Manor, a nursing facility, because she needs 24 hour care. She moved there about six weeks ago. I know everyone there and I'm looking at all the details just to make sure she is comfortable as possible. So far, I am very pleased with this nursing facility. The staff is very cooperative and very forthcoming. They set up doctor's appointments and they have their own vehicles to bring the patients to the doctors and to the hospital. I am very pleased with their setup.

I'm sure this place isn't the worst of the worst, but the staff just didn't seem to care much. Whether it was making sure my relative had daily rehab, getting the proper nutrition or hydration, or simply responding to her alarm, it was a fight every single time. Of greatest concern was both her dehydration and their failure to recognize that as such, as well as a failure to diagnose what was causing her pain. I think this place might be fine if you are going for something relatively simple and have enough faculties to speak up, without the fear that you are going to be mistreated as a result. We had a friend who did rehab for a replaced knee here, and she did well. But she was all together in a much better state in the first place. If you need more attention and a better quality of care, this isn't the place for you. We finally ended up moving my relative.

My grandfather was sent to Greentree Manor in Waterford, CT after a three month stay at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital. It was a welcoming building with friendly staff that got him settled into his room. His private room was large and had a beautiful view of the outdoor garden area. There was also a large, clean, and fresh smelling dining area that residents and family members could use to eat, play games, or just lounge and talk without being isolated in a private room. My grandfather was treated with respect and dignity. He had been going through a very traumatic experience, having been through surgery which left him in physical and emotional agony. No matter how often he got confused, or needed things repeated and shown to him again and again, the staff from the in-house doctor to the reception/administrative workers demonstrated familiarity with his condition and understanding. He only stayed at Greentree Manor for a little over a week before having to return to the hospital (his return was unrelated to his care, but due fully to his condition post-surgery), but the kindness and expertise of Greentree Manor's staff will not be forgotten by my family.
