"My Mom has been here a few months now. The place is always clean. Everyone working there are polite in every way. The takes very good care of my Mom. I visit her about 5 times a week. I recommend Greentree Manor to anyone looking for a nice place to care for their loved ones."

"I toured Fairview - The Odd Fellows Home of Connecticut. I was hoping to get my aunt in there. It's superb. I know them from having visited the father of a friend three years ago who was in their skilled nursing/memory care, and they're amazing at what they do in their memory unit, even so far as finding out from the family what kind of music that the individual likes. Each resident got a little Nano. They had a cage of lovebirds and a beautiful aquarium. It's very enriching, especially for people like my aunt now who doesn't have an immediate grasp on their memories. The staff was truly excellent and incredible. It is the most updated one here for skilled nursing. They just went through an incredible rebuild two to three years ago. It's immaculate, plus there were lots of windows and lots of light. It's just clean as can be. They really set the standard."

"My mother-in-law is in Mystic Healthcare and Rehab. It is very clean. The staff is fantastic. The staff members are so excellent, which is really important when you're in a place that has people that genuinely care about you. I couldn't rate them better. The dining area is nice, clean, and welcoming. However, the food is not up to par. They serve sandwiches way too much. They could really improve on their food. They do bingo once in a while, which is nice, but they're a little short on activities. They could use some more activities for the residents."

"NLRC was my father's last home before he passed. His nurses always made him comfortable and took the best care of him till his last days. The staff, was very loving and caring for him and our family. They went above and beyond to let us enjoy our last moments with him. "

"Groton Regency is by far one of the best facilities in the area. There is a "state of the art gym", kind, caring and respectful staff. (I recently discivered that several staff members trust the care so much that they have relatives living there) that's a testament in itself. "

"My mom moved in at Villa Maria Nursing & Rehab Community, Inc last February. She's doing as well as can be expected. She's getting around OK, and she seems to like it. The place seems to be clean and there's plenty of parking. It's an older building and there's no place you can go outside to sit in the courtyard or anything like that. Like most places right now, they're shorthanded, so they can't get to everything as promptly as they should. A lot of the staff is temporary. They call in from the agencies, so they're not familiar with the place and they're not familiar with what their jobs are. It gets very confusing. My mom liked the food when she first got there, but they changed the chef, so she's not fond of the food anymore. They try to push them to eat their dinner in the dining room. They offer bingo almost every day, but they don't offer a whole lot. "

"My mother was taken to Complete Care at Harrington Court. This is where the hospital released her. I didn't like anything about it. They need to improve the staff. The staffing is hideous. The food was awful. The response to someone pushing a button to get help going to the bathroom was awful. Their administrative people had no response. We didn't get the admission papers sent to us for filling out until after we had checked out. Two weeks later, my mother contracted COVID while she was there. She was put in a less sterile and less protected environment while she was in isolation. It was just a horrific experience. The people are not happy there and are very unresponsive. The food they feed you is almost like if you were to go to prison. I didn't see any activities being offered. They have a physical therapy department. A couple of the people that we worked with there were okay and trying their best. It was all covered by Medicare."

"Albeit, when it came time to put my grandfather into the facility, he was at a point where communal activities were out of the question, but they provided many opportunities for the residents to meet on a daily basis. The staff were very friendly and worked well to meet our family's needs for my grandfather. It is regrettable however, the choices they seemed to make with roommates. He was in an unhealthy state when first brought to the facility, but his roommate was far beyond that in health. It wasn't exactly inspiring for him, neither were the tiny and prison like, looking out to a brick wall. Also they didn't have a good place for many of the residents to congregate near their living spaces. If they wanted to come out to talk to other residents their wheel chairs blocked up the halls. Placement of the building was quite strange since it is in the busy downtown area there is limited space to park when you arrive. You are all but forced to park on the side of the building and walk the road around the building to get in. The care for the seniors is great, but the experience in visiting isnt. "

"Mom is already going to be placed at Westerly Health Center. She has been there on respite abound six times, she is familiar with it, the staff is very good with her, and they actually wanted her to come there to be placed. They've got all kinds of activities. They have an activities director that has things going on all the time. She got involved with a group, they were making flowers and baskets, and they have time where they play Bingo. They play all different kinds of activities. They also encourage skills like with the ball -- a soft ball, an earth ball, and all that. They really have a lot of things going on. They go on trips and all that. It is excellently kept. Westerly Health is among the best that I have seen, and I was very impressed. The attitude of the staffing is just outstanding. Everybody from the nursing staff all the way down to the housekeeping staff and all that always stop what they are doing, say hello to you, and it doesn't matter how many times you've gone in there; they always greet you with a smile. It is really nice; it is a good place. Mom is going to become a permanent resident on the 1st of June. This was it -- hands-down for what our needs were for her. "

"I had my knee fused following a motorcycle accident. I was a resident at Bride Brook Health and Rehabilitation Center for duration of four month. During this time I received medical treatments, and physical therapy at this location. I was able to be in constant contact with my family and friends with the availability of the internet and the personal telephone. I was not impressed with the meals offered here but certainly have had worse during my days in college at the cafeteria. I was the youngest resident and received much attention from the older inhabitants of Bride Brook Health and Rehabilitation Center. The staff was relatively responsive although I did not have any dire situations that required immediate assistance. The amenities are slim and I did not use them due to the nature of my visit and also my lack of interest in movement. I would give them a four out of five rating. "
