I picked this place for my mom because it doesn't feel or look like a hospital as many places do. My mom stayed there twice when I had to travel for work so I knew she liked it. The people are great. I feel she is really getting the care she needs.

My aunt is in Olsen Rest Home. She's only been there a short time, but she seems to like it a lot, and she seems fine. I call her on the phone. She loves the food. She thinks it's wonderful. She says everybody's very nice, and she seems to like them. The ones I've interacted with are excellent, very nice, very caring, and good. It's near my house, it's much smaller, and I think that's what she needs.

I like Olsen Rest Home. It's a small home. The activity room was small, and they didn't seem to have a lot of activities there. It seemed like they were very interested in giving quality care rather than anything else. They were doing word search at the time in the activity room. They had nice comfy chairs all around and that was the same room that they would watch television in. It was very clean, and the staff was very good. The dining area was small as well.

Olsen Rest Home is kind of like 5 bungalow houses which they attached them through hallways, and it just makes you feel that you are in a home and not in a hospital. It is small and only has about 38 residents. They have 2 living rooms -- one on each side of house -- and they have about 40 high back chairs, so even if the other people from the other side come over, they always have enough room for everybody to sit. Then they have a small kitchen and an area where they all eat together where it looks like you’re in the 1950s eating dinner with everybody. My mom has only been there for 3 weeks but in that 3 weeks I really feel like they care. It is not really pretty, but most of the older people don’t really need all that prettiness like young people nowadays. It is just very homey. It is very old-fashioned, and for my mom, it is perfect.

Olsen Rest Home is fine. It's very clean. The people here are very nice. Everybody is very friendly and eager to help. The staff is helpful. My room is fine; it's a 1-bedroom. I have no problems with it. There is no kitchen here or anything like it.

The staff at the rest home is very good. They listen to my concerns and make me feel that my Grandmother is truly being cared for. The facility itself is kept up well. My Grandmothers case manager is always nice to me. I have never had any issue at all with this facility. I rated it 4 out of 5 because I believe nothing can be perfect. She says the food is almost always tasty and to her liking. My Grandmother is bedridden. This has not taken anything away from her being included in certain activities. All who live at the rest home can be active in one way or another. The rest home she was at prior to this I did not care for at all. Comparing the 2 is like comparing night to day. As long as my Grandmother is happy I will be as well. Overall a 4 out of 5 experience. I hope this review was helpful.
