Brandywine is very clean, the rooms are very nice and the fact they have different option and sizes to fit your needs was nice to see. The staff is very nice, caring and helpful. They had nice calendar of activities that are fun. My family member is happy and I feel she is in a really safe and clean place and don't have to worry about her.

I love the staff at Brandywine. They are so beautiful and considerate. Everyone seems so happy to be here. There are plenty of activities and the food is good. There’s nothing to complain about. I am very confident in Brandywine and the staff, which is why I came back after my heart attack. There’s a lot of medication I was taking that I’m not taking anymore. I’m enjoying life!

My mother lived at Brandywine for more than 2 years due to dementia. She was resistant to the move and angry at me for "forcing" her. The staff at Brandywine are experienced with the challenges and offered me meaningful guidance and support while going through the process. Everyone who works there is kind and compassionate, and treated my mom like she was their own family. They are truly concerned about the health and happiness of their residents. In addition to the amazing staff, the place is spotless (it always smells wonderful!) and the food is fantastic (I have eaten in the dining room myself!). There are activities to keep residents motivated and entertained. Not just bingo. There are trips to the movies, out to lunch, and local wineries. There are musicians and dancers every weekend. Bingo, card games, trivia contests, you name it. Mom thought she was living on a cruise ship! Oh, and did I mention that Mom was allowed to bring her cat? Moving your loved one to a "facility" is not an easy decision. But Brandywine turned out to be the best decision we could have made for my mom.

As a travel agent for many years, I helped guide people on the best vacation destinations. Now a lady of leisure, I can recommend Brandywine Living at Mountain Ridge as a great place to retire. The atmosphere is upscale, warm and inviting at the same time. The neighbors are delightful. The apartments are well maintained. And the food is very good, an excellent quality like the kind you would find on the upper east side of Manhattan. There is plenty to do throughout the day and I am never bored! Help is always available – and at a mere 85, you never can know when you’ll need it. If you are thinking of calling Brandywine Living at Mountain Ridge home, do not hesitate!

My mother is set to stay at Brandywine. Everything is great and top notch, but the only negative thing is that it doesn’t have an outdoor walking area. They have exercises, and it was the closest to our home, which was a big thing for us.

The staff at Brandywine is very friendly and caring. They know the residents by first name basis which I found encouraging. The nurses have called me regularly when they needed to talk to me about my dad, so I feel very comfortable about his care. It’s clean and smelled nice. The rooms are very nice. There are different selections. There is a studio apartment and a 1-bedroom apartment depending on what you select and what you’re going to pay for. It’s not ideal, but it’s very good. Dad is safe, well cared for, and enclosed. There are some minor things that I would like addressed like when they lock the doors at night which, for the safety of the residents, is excellent but for those of us who are visiting, it’s a challenge to get out of the building to get somebody there.

My mother was at Brandywine at Mountain Ridge. She stayed there for 10 months. The facility was fine. However, the problem I had with them was that, my mother was there eight months when my wife and I were down in Florida for the winter. Then I got a call from the management at Brandywine saying that the transfers from getting her out of bed in the morning, getting her into the wheelchair, and getting her up in the wheelchair to bathroom was taking more than one person to complete, and so therefore, I had to hire a personal aide for 12 hours a day because this was becoming too much for the staff that was on duty at Brandywine. So that almost doubled the monthly expense, and that's what drove us to look for another facility. I was very suspicious when I was told that my mother needed a private aide.

My mother has been a resident of Brandywine for two years now. Although this is a very hard time in their lives, losing their spouses, seeing their friends pass, the facility is warm and comforting in its surroundings, staff and management team. It has a family atmosphere and offers an array of activities to meet the different needs of the residents. The special events are always done with class and great effort by the entire Brandywine staff. The cleanliness of this facility is outstanding and they take great pride in keeping the entire facility immaculate. It's worth a visit. I highly recommend this facility for your loved ones.

My father was in assisted living before it became a medical necessity for him to go to a nursing home. He was at Brandywine for 4 months. The staff is great. He enjoyed bingo and different social activities there. He had a one bedroom apartment. It's a wonderful facility, I don't have any complaints.

The Watchung Ridge Assisted Living Center is located in Watchung, New Jersey and is a well maintained facility. The town of Watchung itself is known to be a well to do and safe town and the facility also has easy access to several renown hospital e.g. Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Overlook Hospital etc. The Center is well kept and clean. It is staffed with friendly professionals and there are multiple venues such as meeting rooms and TV lounges where residents can spend time in other than their own rooms. The meal times are long enough so residents can choose to take their meals at a time most convenient for them and the Center also organizes ongoing activities (Bingo night, Wii nights) to keep their residents entertained and occupied. Overall, it is a nice assisted living facility.
