Jan 2026 and on. The list of instances of neglect that my family has documented is too long for a review. To make it quick, my family member has been: Left in a sopping wet diaper for hours on end (wet through clothing and sheets) Fed while she was sleeping/left asleep with food hanging out of her mouth and inside of her mouth(photo evidence) “Thrown into bed” by an aide Left in a wheelchair overnight Not given meds on time or, nurse forgot to give them all together Delivered the wrong meals, consistently This is the tip of the iceberg. Management is all talk, no help. Aides treat patients as if they’re tasks vs human beings. No one is trained to even know how to care with compassion, especially with an elderly pt with dementia. I truly hope these women don’t take care of children at home. Yes, the state has been notified. Our experience has been distressing to say the least. PLEASE look elsewhere if you are considering Venetian for yourself or loved one.

My mom stayed in Venetian Care & Rehabilitation Center for long-term care. It was semi-private, but she had everything that she needed. We were allowed to bring her whatever we wanted, such as blankets, pictures, toiletries, and flowers. I mean, we could do anything we wanted in her room. I was very happy with it. I picked the room. It was very clean. I was surprised how clean they kept it. They kept up with things. I tried one item for the food, which wasn't too bad. It always looked appetizing. I was there several times when my mother's food came, but it was a little cold by the time my mother got it. She was already in decline, and she wasn't eating much. Everybody that I met and spoke to was very knowledgeable and very helpful. They have a lot of things going on. A calendar was posted of the activity on a particular day, but my mother didn't partake in any of them.
