"We had a beautiful time on our tour at Springhills in Somerset. The staff was very cordial and professional. The director and the staff were always helpful to us. They were all out and about trying to get us assisted. They had activities like movies and karaoke which were very nice. They also had a store area within the facility. "

"We were very pleased with Sunrise at Basking Ridge. The staff was very pleasant, and they have a dog and a cat on staff. It is just very homey, and they have a dining room when you first walk in that is set up like a café. Then they have the main dining room where they can go and sit at, the main sitting rooms, and the game rooms -- it is set up like an old Victorian home. They've got a porch with rockers, and they have the different options for rooming for my mom. She probably would have a microwave or a kitchenette, but they have those options. She can have a roommate or not have a roommate, or have a suite and have two bedrooms in it. It was a very nice setting and a nice facility in a very nice area. I really do like it, and we will probably be utilizing this facility. It was also very clean. "

"Brookdale Hillsborough was very lively. There were lots of activities. It was clean. The woman was awesome that showed us around. We met with the residents as they passed through and stuff. Everybody was very nice and outgoing. They were very thorough about the COVID protocols."

"I can't say enough positive things about Maria. She is great with the memory care residents and fantastic with coming up with creative activities and events for residents to socialize, engage and be active. Most importantly, you can tell that she genuinely cares. I have seen first-hand how she patiently and kindly helped my mom adjust to moving into memory care at Mira Vie 6-months ago after living in her own home for 50 years. My mother was set against participating in any group activities or socializing with other residents. Now, she's always excited to tell me about the fun games, trivia, bingo, arts & crafts, etc. that Maria has planned. While it was understandably a difficult adjustment for my mother, she is more social and engaged than she has been in years and has friends. Maria has helped to make my mom feel more comfortable and safe. I love receiving the pictures and updates of my mom in her activities and appreciate her communication!"

"This home is a home away from home. My mother was recently forced to live in Brighton gardens because of a fall and was not happy about the move. Although she was rude and inconsiderate I thought that nurse jackie had a great attitude and really put my moms needs first. by the end of the first week she was more enthusiastic about her situation and made some friends. Of course there were the usual complaints and I expected nothing less. Arguments among residents are common but not unforeseeable. She is moving out in a week and actually plans to go back and visit. I mean who has ever heard of that? "

"The rooms at Heritage of Clara Barton were too small for me. They had assisted living and independent living. The entrance looked brand new, but the apartment looked like it needed some updating. The staff were friendly. The facility looked pretty clean."

"This facility was overall, very nice. Brighton Gardens is located in a suburb area. Most people here are generally well off and therefore the community is well off. Even though my grandma does not speak English very well, there are several well knit communities within the assisted living center. She is allowed to interact with other Asians living there. From my visit, I could see that there is quite a schedule for activities. People who are living there are never bored, as they have movies, bingo, card games, and even wii and xbox. The staff is very amicable as well. They greeted my dad and I with a hearty welcome when we visited and helped me find my grandmother's room. Although they don't seem too busy all the time, they are nice people. The facilities were clean too. The room itself was clean although it was just a tiny small. Overall, my visit to this assisted living facility was splendid and I look forward to visiting my grandma here again. "

"I have been a resident of Juniper Villlage Chatham for four years and I love my life here. Our residence is attractively decorated, surrounded by landscaped lawn and gardens which we enjoy in good weather. I give our management, staff and workers credit for Juniper Village's excellence. We have an outstanding activities program from which to choose: daily exercises, discussion groups, music programs, a book club, movies in our theatre, a knitting group, indoor sports such as bocce, word games, bingo, bridge. We go in our van to local programs such as plays, movies, music and to the Jersey shore in summer. We have a talented chef and our healthful meals change seasonally and include fresh fruit and vegetables daily. Our driver takes us to medical and dental appointments in the area, for local shopping and to Sunday religious services. What's not to love about living at Juniper Village! "

"When I went here, I saw staff interacting with the residents, which I liked. I kind of felt like I had to see something like that to see how they treated the residents. They were all very friendly. The residents even said hello to me. It was a nice community. I'm leaning more towards that one only because mom has about two years to pay out of pocket, and if she's a little short, they'll work with me. That's the conversation I had with the people. I want to make sure that they would have a room for my mom when she switches over to Medicaid. They also have people in-house that I could deal with for that transition when that happens. The woman was very nice. Every question I asked her, she had an answer. When you go visit, on your way out, they give you a little box and it's something from their bakery that the chef made and this happened to be a blueberry muffin and it was delicious. I didn't save it for anyone. I ate the whole thing myself. The facility was very clean, very new, and very updated. They had beautiful flooring down. They have a hair salon, and they have certain doctors come in like podiatrists and things like that for the residents. They have their cable TV, and they try to keep them out of their rooms and involved in all kinds of little activities there, bingo, baking, stuff like that."

"My aunt was at CareOne at East Brunswick. They were good, and she was very happy there. It was limited on our end because we weren't allowed to go in. We're only allowed to go in a couple of times in the general area, but we weren't allowed to go to the rooms or anything like that. She was happy there, and she didn't wanna leave. There was like a cafeteria-type room, which she loved, and she loved the food there as well. The place was very good. They kept it very clean and very up-to-date. I believe they had Bingo and stuff like that. I don't know how much of it she actually did, but she said there were activities."

"The staff at Sunrise of East Brunswick is phenomenal. The meals are good. They provide everything here. I don't have to leave. They have a salon, bingo, DJs, and everything. Everything about this place is good."

"The Sunrise in Westfield is fantastic, beautiful, and gorgeous, but you have to have a lot of money to reside there. Everything is fantastic, including the staff. If I have the money, that’s where my mother would be. I met the director of sales, and her help was astronomical. "

"I am so grateful to Sunrise of Summit and the team. Mom and I researched many places and Summit Sunrise felt most like home. Mom is very independent , creative, fun and an amazing artist and oftentimes shy to display her work. Sunrise created an art show featuring mom and other resident artists. The champagne event was well attended and was a huge boost to Mom who is looking forward to the next opportunity to display her work and collaborate with like minded residents. Mom has blossomed socially and smiling all the time Prior to Sunrise, Mom lived alone and then with me and especially with COVID, was feeling understandably very isolated. I could have never imagined how important it was to be with a community of peers and social opportunities. Because the community is new, her apartment is modern and chic-just like Mom. The staff maintains her room and does laundry etc which Mom loves (I did not think she would). I can’t thank the staff and community enough for creating such a wonderful environment for Mom Mom has her tribe!"

"I liked Spring Hills Princeton. The woman I met there was nice. She was wonderful. It seemed like a nice place. I liked the price. It's cheaper than others. The rooms were nice, too. I think they were a good size. They generally have games and outings just like the others. I thought the atmosphere was very pleasant."
