Accepted Answer

Our RN completes the initial assessments when a resident moves into our facility.  Our team of healthcare professionals monitors the health and cognitive function of your loved one which consists of RN, LPN's, physicians and Nurse Practitioners .  The on-going monitoring helps us know what is best for your family member.

Accepted Answer

Alcoeur Gardens is affiliated with Hackensack Meridian (Bayshore Medical Center) located in Holmdel. If you prefer to send your family member to a different location, please let us know when you move into the facility.

Accepted Answer

Memory-care residents at mealtime like consistency.  We serve three meals a day; all homecooked by our staff.   Relaxing music is playing in the background during these times.  Our staff understands that at times a resident may not like what is cooked so we offer other options.

There is always other daily options for our picky eaters.  Some of our residents need assistance during mealtime also so our staff understands that taking their time to feed is key to support them.

Accepted Answer

Aberdeen NJ is a residential neighborhood. We are located on Rte 34 and Woodbrook Avenue set back from the road. We are a gated community with a coded entry facility for the safety of your loved one.  Our staff and local police department are the only individuals with access.

Here at Alcoeur we are all like family!  Family is contacted for everything that takes place with their loved one whether it be a quick call for reassurance, change in mental or physical status.  Anything the family may need we are a call away!

Our facility is family- owned and operated by Registered Nurses.  Daytime and evening shifts include a nurse, a certified medication aide along with a home-health aide or certified nursing aide.

Alcoeur Gardens offers continuous training for our staff to ensure our residents receive the best care!

Accepted Answer

Alcoeur Gardens develops and implements monthly calendars for our residents.  It includes sensory, motor and physical activities to keep our residents engaged at all levels.  Our entire staff is involved daily to ensure safety and fun on all levels!

We have a Women's and Men's Club which includes knitting, puzzles, reading and night-time activities to keep up with the resident's schedules.  We host holiday events along with monthly entertainment.  When a resident moves into our facility their loved one is asked to fill out a resident profile so we can incorporate their likes and dislikes into our calendars.  We offer 1:1 if your family member does not want to participate in activities that day.
