We toured Connect55+ La Vista. It was a beautiful complex. However, the one-bedrooms were only 700 square feet, and the two-bedrooms were only 800 square feet. The kitchens were like a kitchenette, but everything was clean and inviting. They had a great little deck off the living room. They had a washer and dryer in the apartment. The gal who showed us around and helped us tour, who is the manager of the building, was wonderful. There was a little area where they were sitting and doing diamond art. They looked happy. Several women were there, but it seemed to us that it was a bit older than we wanted. We're more independent, but the manager made comments about how some people were independent and had garages. They had an electric garage. I mean, garages that had electricity in them and some that didn't, but the ones with electricity, there was a carpenter who was doing carpenter work out of his garage. Everything looked nice. I thought that it was a beautiful place. It was too small, and I felt we were younger than the general population.

My mother was at La Vista for a few years and loved it. The property manager Heather was fantastic too!

Harrison Heights is probably less than 2 years old. Everything looks good. It was a little bit out of my range as far as the price goes. I was hoping to find something a little bit bigger with a 1-bedroom, and it was kind of small from what I'm looking. But it was really nice. If I remember it right, I think there were only two floors, but they have elevators. The staff is very friendly. They took me on a tour, and as I was walking through, everybody was really friendly. They have a calendar of all their events, and then they have a central area where everybody meets and plays like bingo or cards, so they have activities there. So that impressed me very much.
