My partner is at Northland Rehabilitation & Health Care. She started with rehab at that place, and they really tried to help her. She is also at a point where she's not eating much, and I know they try to help her with her meals. I don't know how much one-on-one they actually give her as far as working on three meals a day. When she has to go to long-term care she's in a semi-private room. It's interesting that it's in the same room number as her rehab, where there was just her bed in there. And now that it's private care, they've moved the second bed in with a curtain in between them, and it's quite cramped. At present, she doesn't have a roommate, but that doesn't mean she won't. I haven't met any of the hospice nurses or aids yet, but as I understand it they come in two times a week, or maybe three. I think my partner is OK where she is. I've just seen a lunch tray that was left there, and it looked like she'd eaten a fair bit of it. The upkeep is good. The layout is OK. I know they provide them with activities, but my partner doesn't seem interested in them. I would like to see a little more for the amount of money.

Rooms are awesome. The staff go beyond excellent!!! The activities are personalized to the needs of the patient. Staff, especially the Asst. Director of Nursing - Ariel goes above and beyond to become like a family member! She goes beyond in keeping the family informed and up to date.

I was a caretaker for a gentleman brought to this facility. He was placed on the quarantine hall. After just a few days of being there I noticed he was not okay. His speech was slurred he seemed as if he had had a stroke. I told every nurse every are in every med tech anybody who came into the room he was not okay. Finally labs are ordered which nobody ever came to take. Everybody kept telling me he was fine. Like screaming for helping everybody ignoring you. The next morning, he was rushed to the hospital for things I tried to report to staff. Guess what, he has covid! He died alone. HE DIED ALONE!!!!!! Obviously staff did not follow proper protocol and they don't pay attention to the people that are taking care of or listen to advice.

I was in Northland Rehab for 2 weeks, rehabbing from major surgery. I don’t understand why there are so few stars available to award Northland Rehab... I would give 100 stars. Everything is excellent. If I had to choose, I would shine a light on the staff ... 100% of staff were knowledgeable, attentive, courteous (no matter what gross thing I was asking them to do!) They helped me with good cheer. I guess my second compliment was the food! It was great! It had a “home made” quality, and a staffer would take my order for every meal! Fancy restaurant? Almost! The entire facility is spanky clean, and I noticed there was a near constant hum of covid germ prevention going on. Everything was constantly wiped down and mopped. They even have a system to mark things that were disinfected... then, if the object was used, the mark was removed. Such wise and excellent care. Strict masking. I wouldn’t be able to recognize anyone because everyone was always masked! Wait until you see their gym! I have zero complaints. Go. Check it out, but pay special attention to staff competence and courtesy. I could go on and on, but I think I already have!

Please be aware that they will not follow through on promises. They are there for the bottom line and that is cash. They have no interest in following through on promises to complete essential paperwork needed. They are only interested in private pay for some individuals. The care is poor at the most. I have a family friend in this facility and they have fallen more then twice and been cared for more rough than should be, which resulted in injury. Office staff is rude and will not return calls. If you are planning on being in here for long term care, think again.

This is an absolutely wonderful place where my Uncle stayed when he needed some physical therapy and extra care after hospital stay. The staff is outstanding, kind, professional. They were so great at helping my Uncle understand some of the simple but important details of his recovery. He really enjoyed his stay and was happy that they diligently worked to assist him with all his needs. I would highly recommend Northland for my family and friends or anyone. We are grateful to Northland Rehabilitation and Health Care......A beautiful home away from home with dedicated staff.......and delicious food!
