Average age for our residents is 85. Our residents love bingo, exercising, socializing with their friends and staff members, enjoying happy hour, visiting with friends and loved ones in our beautiful courtyards among many other activities.

Once open The Claiborne will offer many varities of activities for residents that will stimulate their minds and keep up with their overall well-being. The Claiborne will have walking clubs, book clubs, games, crafts, movie nights, themed lunches and dinners among many other activities. All residents will be given an Activity assessment to determine what they enjoy doing and what things interest them.

We offer community bus transportation to doctors, dentists, and grocery shopping. Other services are provided upon request depending on the nature of the service.

We will have wonderful Chef prepared meals that represent the South. Assisted living residents can expect delicious and healthy menu choices for every meal.

We will keep family members informed by personalized care assessments that families will be involved in, phone calls, and email.

We do accept dogs and cats. They will be able to enjoy all inside and outside areas except for the bistro, dining rooms, and kitchen areas.

The staff will receive training on all aspects of caring for a resident. This will include but is not limitied to Dementia/Alzheimers training, fire drills, evacuation drills, elopement drills, Resident fall response, First Aid/CPR, Incident reporting, etc.
Who assesses residents' health and cognitive functioning? How often is that assessment repeated?
The Wellness Director will assess an inital health and cognitive functioning 7 days prior to moving in to the community, another will be done within 30 days of move in, every 6 months from then unless changes are recorded. All employees are trained to watch for change of condition in a resident. A mini mental assessment will also be performed.

It is located in a residential and business area. We have residential housing close and also new businesses going in. We are located close to major highways but far enough away for a more rural setting. We have the best of everything only a short distance away.

The Claiborne is not affiliated but have chosen to partner with a local hospital for exceptional care when/if needed.
