"The Blake at Biloxi was by far the only one that I liked. Jasmine was the one who gave us the tour of the place. I love her. I liked how it had a calendar of events. I loved that they kept a community where they could all do stuff together. It's a newer place and I know that's where my mom will go when something happens with my dad. One, because it's right there, like 10 minutes from my house, and two, I just really like the staff there and it was more social, where they would keep you going and living. In the apartments themselves, they have a kitchenette in it, but for the most part, the meals are done in a dining room and that dining room is gorgeous and nice. They've got meals and alternative meals that you can get. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They've got a piano bar, a billiard room, an arts and crafts room, and then they go out where they take you shopping, and they also take you out to entertainment places."

"Greenbriar Nursing Center is great. I like the rehab. They need to improve the breakfast. The staff is good. They have bingo, hair appointments, and painting. They have a courtyard, a salon, outside areas, and a gazebo. It's local and it's near hospitals and restaurants."

"Soon will be a year my sister moved in. The first month was very rocky. As weeks and months passed by my sister adapted very well. Before I moved my sister to this facility I was skeptical at first bc I heard Negative comments and the building is older and little out dated.. Most of the comments was under previous owner or management. I lost “trust” in Assistant living facilities due to past experiences. It's stressful for family members finding trust a worthy facility. "So far" my heart is overwhelmed with good complements about Golden Oak staffing. The hospitality is outstanding as the staff greets family and guest. The day we moved my sister the maintenance guy offered his help to unload our truck and bring some items to my sister's room. We never had staff to help us in the past. We were very grateful for the extra helping hands. During this pandemic the staff showed off their true profession and personalities as Hero’s. Last year in March the facility lockdown due to covid. Few months went by not seeing our loved ones. The coordinator Ms.M was amazing with her talents as she organized parade’s for the family members. We decorated our vehicles with signs, balloons and ribbons to drive by to greet our loved ones from a distance. There was laughter, happy tears durning this day of gathering. As my husband and I was in the parade line We could see excitement in everyone's eyes and faces. Coordinator plans the parties for every occasion. According to my sister the staff entertains the residents with dancing and laughter.. The Staff still working hard to help family through our difficult times. I bring my sister weekly snacks and drinks. The nurses meets with me outside to carry the heavy items to my sisters room. I call my sister’s snacks the "Fix it snacks” like someone that needs their “Fix” for coffee or cigarettes.. The facility is located near the interstate which is a plus for me. There are near by restaurants. The rooms are small but no complains bc my sister loves her room. Residents are allowed to have a small counter top refrigerator and small microwave in room. Bathroom is shared with one other resident. The building is cleaned inside and out. I haven’t experienced any unpleasant odors in building. Food wasn't to appealing at first but has improved some, it has gotten better. Property is small with limited sitting and parking. Wooded area which gives Golden Oaks privacy. The rent is reasonable which includes cable, three meals, 24 hour care, laundry, activities and more.. If you decide to place your loved one here I’m hoping you will be satisfied. Please leave your review for others and what to except. If you are please with staff please let them know. Bring them a watermelon or two or even a pizza to show how much you appreciate them. Try to Get involved donating store bought food trays, candy, drinks or cakes for the parties. If we all pull together and help we can keep this place a happy family home for our loved ones."

"I did a tour of Seashore Highlands Retirement Community. It had a very homey feel, it didn't have an institutional feel. It was a little smaller than the other place I visited. For someone that doesn't get around well on their own, that might be a little less intimidating than the big facilities. Everything was in an easy to manage area for someone that was either on a walker or a wheelchair. Everything was very centrally located and easy to get to. The facility was wonderful. It was very clean and very inviting. It also had lovely landscaping courtyards. I also like them because it was one level. It did not have multi-levels, and that was very important to me."

"Mom moved to Kare Med Assisted Living. It is small and homelike, because it's actually a house, so I like that. They have very few people and they seem very caring. They serve three meals a day and they also assist with feeding. Most of them are in hospice. I felt like Mom has excellent care. We actually had my ex-husband there right before he passed away. They dine at a kitchen table. They only have five residents at the time and they have to hand feed Mom. She very rarely feeds herself. The residents change so quickly. When I first called to get Mom in they did not have availability, and before she was out of her rehab they called and said they had an opening. Kare Med Assisted Living is your average home. La-Z-boy's in the living room with a TV. It's decorated nicely. They've got antique furniture in several places, and my mother loved antiques. I think it's a good value for the money."

"I went to Summerfield Senior Living of Gulfport. They have a place where you can go fish in a little pond. You can sit out on the deck and fish or just sit down on the deck and watch somebody else fish. They have a huge walking area all around their whole outside area. And they have a greenhouse. It's small, but it's someplace you can go out and work with your plants and there are sitting areas outside. The apartments are very nice, roomy, and clean. They have housekeeping and all the amenities. The place was clean and large with big halls and bright. It wasn't dark. It was nice and bright. When you walk in the front door, they have a big foyer with a grand piano, and the people sitting on one side are doing a puzzle or playing some kind of game. The people greeted you. And then on the other side of the hall in this great big room were some residents who were just sitting there. It was just an inviting atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and friendly and answered all our questions."

"Lakeview Nursing Center is great. I'm glad that I've selected it for my brother. The staff has been wonderful too. He is in skilled nursing and he will transition into long-term care. They have two doctors on staff, and he has doctors' appointments that they set up and tests if they see it necessary. They transport him to and from those appointments. I haven't seen the food but I will see it this week. I'm having lunch with him for Thanksgiving. They have him on a specialized diet because he has no teeth. They're very accommodating. He doesn't stay in bed all the time, so they rearranged his room so his chair would be facing the TV. They have a lot of physical activities for the residents and they have an activity staff too. They provide bingo and a lot of other different games. They go around in the afternoon to give them coffee and talk to them. They have a great activities director. They have several outdoor courtyard areas and they also have peacocks on the ground. They call me any time that he may have a stomach ache or anything. They stay on top of everything. They noticed after he eats sometimes that his stomach hurts so the doctor had ordered an ultrasound to find out if maybe he had an ulcer and everything, so they're on top of their health. From what I've observed, the residents that I come across seem to be very pleased and very happy. They're allowed to leave their rooms whenever they want and if they're mobile. They can go in the hallways and visit with friends if they have made any there so it's nice."

"I am a resident of Ocean Springs Health and Rehab. From the very beginning they have made me feel at home, and cared for my needs. They have good standards, and make things nice for everybody. "

"My mom just went into Boyington Health Care Facility yesterday, and everything seems secure, the doors are locked, and it is wonderful. I think it will be just what my mother needs. The staff is very helpful and very friendly. They answered all my questions, were very patient, showed me the room my mom would be staying in, and explained everything to me. I walked away and felt very good when I left the place, that my mom would be taken care of there. "

"When I visit, I see the staff taking care of the patients. They are attentive to their medications and needs. The people are clean and do not smell. When I enter the facility, I don't spell urine and it is always clean, the floors, windows and the bathrooms. It is well kept. The staff makes sure that the people are active in activities on a daily basis who wants to participate. They are serves snacks as well as their regular foods. "

"I went to Truewood by Merrill, Ocean Springs. They were beautiful, but for the money that we were paying, they didn't offer as many services as the other place did, and it was farther away. The staff was beautiful. They did a great job showing us around. But it wasn't as personalized, and it was a lot older. Even though my mom's going to be 90, she's a young 90, and the people there were mostly really older people. They offer two buffets and one sit-down meal. They would serve if they needed to serve. They had a living room, a theater room, a library, and a big eating room. They're the same things, but for those services, everything you added on was extra dollars."

"My sister has been there for the past 98 days rehabing from a series of strokes and a heart attack. Because of her limited mobility she requires quite a bit of assistance. I am extremely please with the tender and professional care she has received from the techs, nurses, and therapy team. when she gets out of the hospital again, this is the only place I want her to be. "

"I toured the Lighthouse. It was very complete, and I liked it. It has nice grounds and nice apartments, and the employees were very good. I talked to several people living there, and they enjoyed it. The upkeep is excellent. They had different-sized of rooms. They had two rooms, a bedroom and a living room, and then they had one that was just one big room. There were a lot of people eating in the dining area, so they must have enjoyed it, and the atmosphere looked nice."
