"We toured The Cortland Wyoming. It was a nice facility. There was nothing we found lacking there. The location was not what we were looking for. It was a little better in our budget than some of the other places. The staff took us around, showed us rooms, and explained how things worked there. He was friendly and he was nice enough. The rooms that my dad was going to qualify for were really small. I like that they had a little indoor garden center where residents could go, do some gardening, and pick some flowers. It's like a little greenhouse, and that was a nice feature. They had a nice courtyard."

"I was looking for a place for my Dad and wanted it to be his last move in life. I didnt want to have to move him because he ran out of money, or he needed more care or whatever. When I talked to Robbinswood, they said they would provide care until the end, and they did. Dad was there for almost 4 years when he took ill. After he became weak and frail, we put him on Hospice services right there. My Dad enjoyed life until the end in his apartment he loved and became his home. "It was a beautiful place. The director, who showed us around, was very helpful. We went through everything, and I liked that it was luxurious, and the building was just gorgeous. They were top of the line. We saw some of the artwork and some of the photography, but we didn't see anything going on when we were there, and we just couldn't afford it. "

"My friend is at American House in Spring Lake and it’s a very nice community. It was very clean and the staff was very nice. The staff treats you very well, are very informative, help you out, and they seem very caring. The place is modern and the rooms are a nice size and private. It seems like they have all kinds of activities two to three times a day with crafts, they get their nails done, and take them on trips."

"My brother recently moved in. It seems to be a good fit. I was new to all of this and they made the process simple and quick. My brother seems to be happy."

"I toured Woodland Gardens. That one was very nice as well. They have a live-in guy, which is kind of cool. So he's there all the time, and then he has a couple of days off where other people come in. Other than the ones who came in to help out when we were there, he was making cookies and making lunch and doing it all. He lives right there, so there's somebody there at night all the time. They don't have to worry about somebody calling in at night to not show up or somebody having to work a double because somebody doesn't show up or whatever. I guess all their buildings have a live-in person. They have up to six residents. They have single rooms with half baths. They have a tub and shower room that they can shower in, and the bathroom itself has a toilet and a sink. The manager-owner himself came out, and all of those who were working there were very knowledgeable about everything as well. He'd been there for four years, the fellow that lives there. He was doing laundry, and there was a pile of laundry on the couch that had to be folded."

"I feel that this assisted living provider is very good at what they do. The staff is friendly and helpful to the residents and their families. They are great with my grandmother, even after she burned one of the nurses with a cigarette when she was told she wasn't allowed smoke. There is a sense of community, and they encourage the residents to socialize with each other. My grandmother has made quite a few new friends. They have a common room with couches and a television, as well as lots of games for the residents to play. The residents' rooms are nice and quite big, so it feels like they have their own apartment, rather than just their own room. They also have very well kept grounds, with gardens and sidewalks so the residents can go for walks if they wish. If anyone in my area was looking for an assisted living center for a relative or even for themselves, I would highly recommend this facility. "

"Valley Pines Senior Living looked nice. The setting was very nice. There were nice views out the windows. The place seemed clean and quiet, but they weren't yet at full capacity. The people that showed us around were very pleasant. They said hi and acknowledged us. The double rooms looked like a pretty good size. The upkeep looked good, too."

"We went to Care Cardinal. We liked the facility and its size. It was personal. The staff was fantastic. The staff gave us a sheet, and she also explained very well what is included and what daily life looks like, and things like that, so that was fantastic. They have a kitchen with staff. They provide three meals a day. They have a common room. There are TVs in every room. You can personalize your room however you want. That was a good thing for us, too."

"I toured Harbor Homes Norton Shores. I'm impressed with the staff and people who are in the building. The facility was very good. The rooms were very good. The layout was very nice and easy to move around. They have four separate buildings. Each one of the buildings has its dining room, and they're very clean and very nice. It has a very good atmosphere. It's close to everything, shopping and all that. It's also close to a hospital in case something happens, they don't have far to go."
