There was nothing I didn't like at Resthaven Care Center. The staff was very friendly. I even spoke to some of the residents and they gave all the positive remarks of the facility. They honestly cared for people. For the skilled nursing, they had their own PT and OT in-house, which was nice if my father needed that. The staff member who assisted me was very kind. They listened. They had empathy and they made suggestions. They also mentioned if we didn't need skilled nursing, we could go to assisted living. They were knowledgeable as far as Medicaid and how that would play in insurance. They also were knowledgeable with local attorneys in the Holland, Michigan area that assisted with elderly care. The structure of the building looked very solid. As I toured, it was very clean. There was one bedroom where you could kind of smell a little bit of urine, but I didn't know if it had not been cleaned yet or not. But overall, the rest of the building was clean.

Resthaven Care Center seems like a very nice place to place someone you care about. I got to see and speak to the social worker yesterday, and she was very nice. They always let me know everything that's going on. Any time there are any changes they always call me. They've been very pleasant. My brother's room is very small, but it's just for one person, and it's fine for him. The facility looked very clean and organized, but basically all I really saw was a bunch of hallways and his room. I'm satisfied with it. When I saw him the last time, we went out in the courtyard, and it was very nice.

My son-in-law is in Resthaven Care Center and it's an excellent place. They have good care and we like everything about it. The staff is very cooperative, congenial, and has been very helpful. My friend shares a bathroom with another patient, but has his own bedroom, which is quite good. My friend also seems to be OK with the food.
