"I visited Harbor Terrace Senior Living's skilled nursing facility in Muskegon. It's located right on the lake, and it's a pretty new facility. I like the cleanliness of the place. The people are also very friendly and very helpful. It looked like a really nice facility for the seniors. They showed me a private room, and it's skilled nursing, so I assume the care is around the clock. They have a happy hour on Fridays where the residents meet at the center, and they have music. It's very nice."

"I was at Sanctuary at the Park for a hundred days. I had injured my leg, and I was there for rehabilitation. It was very nice -- not overly immaculate -- but clean and friendly. The staff was extremely pleasant, and the people were very kind. There weren’t any screams in the hall. It was relaxing; I enjoyed it. The rooms are each for 2 people and one restroom for 4 people with individual showers. You’re given a shower twice a week in an individual enclosure. The rooms are tiled; the hallways are carpeted. You pick what you want for breakfast, and then they have 2 meals for lunch and 2 meals for supper. You may eat in your room, or you may go to a central dining room. I ate there; it wasn’t always what I liked because I’m very particular, but they had good food. They have a little bird sanctuary with some beautiful little birds, and a lot of people sit down and watch them. They had sing-alongs, bingo, and ice cream luncheons. On Halloween, they opened up the hallways, and the neighborhood children came in and trick or treated down to each room. They had outdoor barbecues every once in a while. They had a nice courtyard that you could go stroll around or ride your wheelchair in, or your family could come and you could go out there. "

They are very accommodating. They have an activities director, and they also have a calendar of stuff available. My mom can choose what she would like to go to. They have several common areas that they can go to if they wish. "

"I am currently at McAuley Rehabilitation and Wellness for rehab. I have had nothing but great care. All the workers seem to be very nice and friendly. They are responsible and they stick to their schedules. They have marvelous food here. Everything is homemade, right down to the waffles, pancakes, and soups. They mop and sweep the floors and clean the bathroom every day. And then, somebody runs one of those big vacuum cleaners every other day. They take great care with doing your laundry. You just hit your button for anything you need here, and they're right here asking what they can help you with. The TV channels are much better here, and it's well worth the money compared to the assisted living where I live."

"Christian Care Nursing Center is quite a new facility, and the whole family is happy with his location there. It is divided into three different units. One of the units is called the memory unit and that is where my brother-in-law is living now. Everything is new and state-of-the-art, excellent unit. It is only five days that he has been there, so we haven't checked the activities yet, but we know they do exist. The food is excellent. I was glad to see that he ate his entire meal and enjoyed it. I think it would rate the highest. "
