Our experience with Falkirk so far has been OK, although there has been a little bit of confusion. The staff seems OK, so far. I had a concern and asked one staff member a question in regards to security like for example in the event of a home invasion situation. The young lady told me that the back door doesn't lock. My brother posed that question to another staff member, and he was told that it was by law not supposed to lock. To me that's not right because the community is staffed 24/7, so there should be somebody who's supposed to open the door to let first responders in. I think it's a pretty good community. We have easy access to it, and we're always allowed to come in. They're flexible on their hours, and we appreciate that. I would like a little more input from their side when my mother needs something, instead of me finding out when I get there. They told me that they needed vinegar to clean out her urinary bag; I didn't know they needed that nor know it was up to me to get it. Overall, I think they're above average. They have a TV and a sitting room as the residents are not really very mobile. As far as cleanliness, the place has a very nice appeal and well-kept outside and inside becuse there's no debris lying around even though the furniture is pretty old. Compared to other places, the price in this community is a good value.
