I toured The Parkdale Senior Living. It looks like a hotel, and you have all these long aisles and people would get lost in there. The staff was nice. I saw the menu and their nice dining tables. Everything's new. It's a brand new place. They have little mini theaters everywhere, and fountains.

Rooms were nice, staff very kind but management was awful. Laurie was rude, didn’t care about anything but staying in her office. Food was awful even tho kitchen staff was great. Would never put a family member in there, EVER!!

My mom will be moving in at The Parkdale. The place was very clean, and the people were very friendly. It just gave us a good vibe when we were touring it. We saw the dining area, but we did not see the menu. It used to be a hotel, so the room sizes were like regular hotel rooms. They had studio rooms and rooms with a kitchenette. The staff was very accommodating. The residents were doing bingo while we were there.

The Parkdale was a great facility. The memory care unit was a locked facility. It was inside the assisted living and it had very tall ceilings and was much bigger. They had a lot more social gatherings with entertainment coming in and things like that, which might be a little overwhelming for mom, although she would enjoy it. I just think now with the age she's at, she'd probably do best with more of a " less is more" atmosphere. The rooms were good. They had private and semi-private ones with a half wall and shared bathroom. Things seemed to be clean. The dining area was much larger. Everyone seemed well cared for. They also had puzzles, a beauty parlor, and more stations for arts and crafts. The person that gave the tour was wonderful. She was very friendly and very open. We talked quite a bit. She was very informative, very helpful, very sympathetic, and understanding. She had some suggestions for getting someone acclimated into a new facility when they've never lived in that kind of setting. I think it was a very well-rounded facility and the staff seemed very engaged.

We liked it a lot and we are making arrangements to put dad there. It's beautiful, and the people there are very nice. This one is really close to our house, and it's beautiful. They do everything, and everything's included. We looked at independent living. They thave memory care there, if he would ever need it. The staff members were all very friendly and nice while we were there. Some of the residents were there, and they seemed to know them all by name. They were very friendly, and all of the residents seemed to love the staff. We haven't tried their food yet. They have a chef. From what they tell us, everything is homemade. They're beautiful. Everything was clean, and everything was nice. It wasn't rundown. There's a lot of new stuff, and it's really nice.
