"We liked Hillsbrook Village @ Allenstown very much. That's our first choice. Our experience was great and very thorough. We were impressed with the level of care. The premises were gorgeous. We didn't try the food there, but there was a nice assortment of people. They had a lot of activities. They were interested in reaching out to the people staying there and getting them involved in socialization and different activities. They were cheerful, upbeat, and nice. We loved the rooms. At the time, there was an opening that we would have taken that had a private bedroom in assisted living and then a living room and a kitchen area. The bathroom was big and clean. The view was medium, not as good as my mother-in-law's who's in the country, but it was good. They weren't pushy, but they were very helpful."

"My friend moved into Pine Rock Manor. It's nice. There's a lot of room for people to roam around, and there are a couple of large rooms that are general activity-type rooms. My only complaint is that it seems pretty hot there. The hallways are air-conditioned, but the larger rooms I find hot. That's the biggest thing to complain about. The staff all seem pretty nice, the ones that I see and interact with. I have eaten there several times, the food is very good."

"The Inn At Deerfield Inc was very nice, it's very small and homelike. The people there were extremely pleasant. They showed me the whole facility, the outdoor space, the rooms, and the common areas, and I saw the whole thing. The unit that I saw was just a simple room, it was a double and it was just basic. The only thing that's holding me back is that they don't have bathrooms in the residents' rooms, they only have communal bathrooms. The staff that I met there was excellent, I was very impressed by the staff. They had a wonderful attitude, they were very positive, very pro-resident, and very much in tune with the needs of the community. It's a nice place, just not fancy."

"In my experience, I have known The Arbors of Bedford to be a warm, caring and friendly community. Staff members are dedicated and committed to the safety and well-being of its residents. It is comforting to know that my loved one is cared for and treated with dignity each day. At the Arbors, patients always come first. I have seen staff set aside what they are doing at the time and stop to listen to a story, tell a joke, offer assistance, share a smile, sing a song or just hold a hand. A grateful family member"

"I have chosen here for respite care for mom. It's not a permanent move-in; she will be there for thirty days. It's a nice, small community, and it's a very clean building. I found that the people who work there are very easy to work with and accommodating. It was a very pleasant place. It's a nice-sized room, and it's certainly not small. It's nice, and it came with the furnishings that were needed: a bed, a chair, and a dresser. The only thing I would find fault with -- and it's not their fault -- is the way the building is arranged. The rooms don't have a private bathroom, but there are certainly many bathrooms available. In the summer, they have outside activities. They also do some bus trips. It seemed like a good level of activities for the type of people they were dealing with. I saw a couple of community rooms. I did not see anything that has to do with exercise, like a pool or anything. This is totally memory care, so I don't believe they had that, but they certainly had several gathering places. They had many books available, almost like a library. They had TVs and movies. They definitely had activities. There's a code that is published at the door. You have to push the code to get in and out, so it's not a locked facility, but if you do not push the code, an alarm goes off, so they are alerted if someone just tries to go out. It's a very pleasant place and in thirty years, I wouldn't mind being there myself."
