I visited The Inn At Deerfield Inc and I thought it was great. My mom will be staying in their memory care unit on respite care next month. They showed me around and showed me pretty much where the common areas were. Most people were gathered in the dining room. They had two different living room sets with TVs. They had activities for the seniors, too. The person who assisted me was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

We went to The Inn At Deerfield Inc. Memory care is a whole different experience than assisted living. It would be too much of a shock to try to move my mother-in-law into that and she's not ready for that, but the staff was friendly and outgoing. They seemed to have nice interactions with the people who were living there. They really cared. It felt like they could keep an eye on everybody. It was clean. If she got to that level of needing care, we would feel very comfortable having her in that place. The rooms were large enough. It's a little bit of an older place. It looks like it's been there for a while, but it wasn't dingy or dirty. I know someone who stayed there probably ten years ago. They're working with what they've got. We felt welcome and we felt like the people living there were treated with respect. It's not an easy job and we were impressed with them.

The Inn At Deerfield Inc was very nice, it's very small and homelike. The people there were extremely pleasant. They showed me the whole facility, the outdoor space, the rooms, and the common areas, and I saw the whole thing. The unit that I saw was just a simple room, it was a double and it was just basic. The only thing that's holding me back is that they don't have bathrooms in the residents' rooms, they only have communal bathrooms. The staff that I met there was excellent, I was very impressed by the staff. They had a wonderful attitude, they were very positive, very pro-resident, and very much in tune with the needs of the community. It's a nice place, just not fancy.

I visited the Inn, and it was more staffed like a hospital. It was a very clean and nice place. Everybody was friendly, and I got to talk to some of the staff. It was a little far from us. I wasn’t too crazy about the residents having to wear anklets. I know my mom doesn’t like that. They had a gazebo for outside get-togethers, and that seemed nice. Everyone had windows, so you can set up a flower garden outside, or bird feeders. The nurse station was in the middle so they can get to people when needed. They should have security at the doors instead of anklets.
