My father has moved in to Morningside House of Laurel. So far, it's been okay. The people there were very helpful. I just got off the phone with my dad, they had to put him in the hospital. He's going to a rehab facility site too. So I am unable to talk to him. They do provide meals. I guess right now, it's hard because they have to deliver the food to their rooms. Sometimes he gets it too cold, and that's the only complain he has. It's not like they can go down to the dining room and get the food right off the oven or something. They have to deliver it to rooms and he's pretty far down the hall so probably by the time it gets to him, it's a little cold. His room is nice, it's a good size. Janetta has actually been very good. The office staff is very good. The nursing staff are okay. They're not doing anything. They're just staying in their rooms. I don't know what are the kind of stuff they had to offer, they haven't been taking them anywhere or really doing anything. The only reason I picked this one is because it was close.

I visited Morningside House of Laurel. It was an older building but it was in decent shape and they were full. They showed me what a room would look like in a floor plan, but they didn't have any available room to show me. They had one companion room but somebody was in the other room and she didn't want me to go on. The rooms were pretty small. They have an outside patio that is screened-in for the winter so they can't get out. They have a library, they have a really big TV room, which is a combination TV room and cafeteria kind of stuff. So they have tables there for eating, and they have a TV there where people are all sitting around watching television. They said they had people that came in for entertainment, but I didn't see anybody when I went. The staff was very, very nice and the person who gave me the tour was good.

I came here to visit a family member and the place is gorgeous. Nice and clean floors beautiful furniture and decorations. Staff is so kind and nice and polite. Food was fantastic. Eating dinner with my loved ones truly a beautiful place for retirement family members with a piano in live entertainment, very nice visit, I would recommend this place to anybody.

I loved the positive energy, the friendliness, and the warm welcome from Morningside House of Laurel. I loved the cleanliness and the manager to who I spoke to. It was just a perfect visit. The room we saw was clean, neat, and a good size. They had their community room where residents came in and played bingo. They had a beautiful TV room, too. The dining area and all the different rooms I saw were clean. It smelled good and they were amazing.

I went to see Morningside House of Laurel. I was looking for level 3 assisted living for my husband but they were too expensive. It was very nice though, very clean, and didn't smell like anything. I only saw a few residents, they were sitting in their wheelchairs and they're very nice. The person who accommodated me was very informative. She gave me the name of another place that we might be able to afford better. I think the staff mentioned that they have somebody on site that does the residents' hair and they also have a library. The dining area looked like it was very clean. They had tablecloths and everything. It's a very nice area.

Morningside House of Laurel was nice and clean, and the staff who showed me around was good. I didn't have any problems with it. It was a little bit larger facility than the others, and it felt homey. The parking layout was not as good as the others, and it was small.

Morningside House of Laurel was an excellent place. My aunt was in the long-term care there. The lady in charge of the place came out to meet me. They were great and I have nothing but high regards for them. I had a meal in the dining area, and the food wasn't bad. They had a beauty salon, and if you are able to go out and get around, they had a bus to take you to a rural mall nearby.

I visited Morningside House of Laurel. It's a really nice place, and it looked like a good alternative if I wanted to move my aunt. However, it was far. She gave me a tour, and I also saw the memory care, the cafeteria, different apartments, and units she can share with other residents, but I didn't like that alternative. I saw the residents were in a room talking about recipes, the staff members were familiar with the residents, were very friendly, and willing to provide me with the information I needed.

When we toured Morningside, the staff was enthusiastic, informed and caring. This was evident as we walked around the facility, and the residents were greeted by name, and seemed alert and oriented. When my mother moved in, she got involved in the variety of daily activities, received Physical Therapy, and began eating much better. We have seen how the staff's caring attitude promotes healthy residents and healthy attitudes. My mom is very happy with Morningside, and that makes me happy.

My mother is now in Morningside House of Laurel. It's very neat, very clean, the décor was excellent, the people were very friendly and outgoing, and I noticed that the people who were being cared for were very friendly and they looked alive; they weren’t slumped over or looking very sad or anything. They all seem to have a little pet with them. They have exercise classes, games like bingo and chess for those who are interested in that, card nights, casino night, crocheting for those who are interested in crocheting classes, current events discussion, Bible classes, and church services on Sundays. They have some planned trips to the Dollar Store or to the mall. They got a variety of things. They have some live entertainment, and they celebrate the holidays and the birthdays. I have not eaten there, but I've observed the dining room, and it's very clean and very fancy. They use linen napkins, and the residents are served by waiters. This is still new, and I haven't seen anything that's different, so I'm going to give it a 5 right now.

I moved my mother to a place called Morningside House of Laurel. Everything is going well. My mother has dementia, and they are managing her health and so forth. They are taking care of her physically, and they are encouraging her to participate in activities. I am confident that she is safe and that she is being cared for. The staff seems to be very dedicated. She is in the assisted living facility, and she is in a private room. It is a large studio apartment with a bed, a place for a living room, and a big bathroom with a safe shower, and she has no kitchen because she is really not safe with a stove. For someone with moderate dementia who is managing to take care of herself in some ways and not in other ways, it is quite suitable. They had a nature talk the other day that she actually enjoys. They do bingo, and they have an activities director who comes in and evaluates her. They started her with physical therapy. They also have current events forum and a walkers club. The food is quite good, and the grounds are lovely. They have a large area outside that is safe that they can wander off, but it doesn't seems to be fenced in. If she wants to go outside, she can go outside and walk around. She has a nice view out of her window of trees and grass. They have a sun porch where there is a fireplace. It is an area like an enclosed patio. The room has many windows that she can sit and watch the snow fall. I chose them as being the best for my mom and for her particular needs.
