"Solana was a beautiful facility. It was also new. I like its location. It is in a very nice location. It is an easy access and near major roads. That was nice. It did have beautiful grounds. It was beautiful the way they got it in terms of landscape and everything. It was really nice. It was a little higher priced than what we were looking for but I can understand why they would do that because it was a brand new facility. I would recommend this place to others. Aside from assisted living, they also have dementia and Alzheimer's patients there. The staff was very nice to me when I went there. Regarding residents, they didn't have that very many people wandering around, so I couldn't talk to any of them but the ones that were there seemed to be very pleasant and nice. "

"I had an in-person tour of Shangrila Senior Living. The place was good. The manager in charge seemed very caring and nice. They have an activity coordinator. They have good food. They have an in-house primary care physician and a beautician who comes in every week. They have a pharmacy. The room seemed pretty small to me, but in terms of the price point, it worked for me. I like the personalization with which the manager seems to be able to work with each of the clients. I also like the fact that it's month to month, so if it doesn't work out, give it 30-day notice, and you're not committed for 12 months or something."

"Cadence Living Olney is lovely. The facility is really good. We looked at a studio and a one-bedroom. The studio was lovely. They both had a small kitchen facility, but we liked the one bedroom, just to have that extra space. We viewed the physical therapy room, activities room, and dining room. Everything was so pretty and people were so friendly. I was impressed by that. They have a nice screened-in porch and there's a nature preserve behind, which was a nice feature, to have those trees behind you and then a walkway all around the place. They all seemed genuinely friendly. We saw interactions between staff and residents there, and they were all positive. My son and daughter-in-law ate lunch there and talked with three of the residents who were all very positive about the place and happy living there. They like the food."

"I like Lighthouse Senior Living at Ellicott City. It was very well lit and very modern. The rooms were very nice. The intake staff was very informative. They took me on a tour of the facility. I saw several of the residents there. They weren't engaging in activity when I got there, but they were finishing lunch. The intake person seemed to be very familiar with the residents there and their family members. So I think he appeared to be involved in everything at the facility. Even some of the staff members seemed to be very engaged with the residents, too. The upkeep of the facility was excellent. Even prior to entering the facility, the landscape was very well-maintained and clean."

"AlfredHouse V was nice. It was a house setting. It's very clean and updated. We were looking for a building with a gym, but it doesn't have an exercise facility. They said they could build one, but right now it doesn't have one. The person who gave us the tour was fantastic. He was excellent. The rooms are spacious. They're clean and well-furnished, and the bathrooms are nice. They have options for shared bathrooms or private bathrooms. It met our needs. But right now, we're not ready to move yet. The dining area was very nice. They have a kitchen and an eating area in addition to the bedrooms. An activities person comes in twice a day, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There's a shared activities director for other Alfred Houses."

"The Heartlands is just right next door to another facility. It offers many amenities, like a beauty salon, an exercise room and a swimming pool. In their exercise room, there are exercise bicycles, treadmills, etc. They have outings for their residents and plenty of other onsite activities as well. Everything is pretty much right there. Their dining room is nice. They serve meals cafeteria style wherein you walk in and get whatever food you want. It is actually very nice. The staff there is very friendly, very accommodating and willing to answer any questions you have. They even ask my sister-in-law what she wants that they could add to their program. "
