Our overall experience with Silverado Frederick was very good. It was bright, sunny, and very delightful. I liked the general layout. I liked the people that were there, the things that I saw going on, and all the interactions. The overall condition of the place is excellent. The staff we met there were very engaging and very up-to-date. Everyone is trained down to the cleaning crew, so it seems like everybody can help in any way that they are needed.

I went to Silverado Frederick Memory Care Community. The staff was caring and hands-on. Their goal is to engage all the clients there. I observed the staff as we were walking around, but it seemed like a great ratio to clients. Every person that works there is trained for memory loss clients. They have special training there. I looked at the daily menu. The food looked great, and there were different choices. I saw a bus out there. They take the clients on trips, and so excursions are offered. They had a salon, a chapel, and a tranquility room, a quiet room that you could go to and sort of get away from noise or something. If you needed to go someplace just to wind down, they had that. They had a lot of activities offered.

I toured Silverado Frederick. The residents were active, and the place was very clean. It was brand new. The staff was really good and very friendly. What's good about that place was that all of their employees went to class for dementia, even the laundry people. They had nice rooms. They were the most expensive but the nicest out of all the 3 places I toured. The food looked really good, but I did not try it. There were a couple of women playing some games, and a guy was doing a puzzle. They had a beauty shop, and a spa, and some of the residents were sitting in chairs doing exercises.

My father is going into Silverado Frederick memory care. The staff and the facilities are both excellent. The rooms are spacious. They have lots of light, and there's a huge private bathroom in each one. It's a really nice room. It's a brand-new facility. They just opened in September, so it's not even fully occupied yet. I have not tried their food, but everything I've seen looked and smelled wonderful. The common areas were beautiful, clean, just very calm, and inviting. They have organized activities and outings for the residents. They have people that come in like musicians and things like that. Everybody from the administrative to the clinical staffing is very professional, warm, and caring.
