Tranquil Living

I was able to tour Tranquil Living. They had shared rooms, and it was nice. It was perfect until I found another place that has private rooms. The rooms here weren't as large, everything was on a smaller scale, and they had more people. They also had nothing open, they were full. The staff there were very helpful and very informative. But they really couldn't tell me when they would have an opening, and I understood that. I would have worked with them if I didn't find the place we ended up choosing for my mom. There was no problem at all with it. I made a point to make sure I talked to everyone just to see if everything was good.

I was so thankful to have found Tranquil Living after seeing my father receive less than adequate care at a local nursing home. The staff at Tranquil Living treat the residents like family members. The facility is kept very clean. Staff members kept me informed of my changes in my father's condition between my visits. I felt that they provided better care for him than I was physically able to provide. Although not always available, the facility has both private and semi-private rooms. It is located very near West Jefferson Medical Center and many doctors' offices. Residents are provided meals that are prepared in the facility. Watching my dad clean his plate over there used to make me chuckle. My only regret is that I had not heard about Tranquil Living when my dad was no longer able to live independently. The care provided was far superior to that in the nursing home yet the cost was significantly less!
