This facility has completely been run into the ground by the owners. They are horrible to their residents and staff and have no concern for the well being of the people who live there. 1. NO Activity Director— the schedule is just for show 2. The food is not even edible. Stomach virus amongst the residents is rampant. 3. Their is NO chef and NO dietician on staff. The facility has lost about 70 residents in only the last year or so and the ones who are left are miserable. The ladies sitting in the atrium daily are begging for something to do. My mother was scared to say anything at all about the food or lack of anything to do because she says the management has evicted others who have complained. If you have a loved one who needs any type of assistance, good luck finding a staff member. Very few aids at any type of day and turnover occurs on a monthly basis. This place should not even be able to operate in the manner in which it does. You shouldn’t be able to charge people $4500 a month and provide nothing but horrible food and an apartment. Don’t waste time looking at this facility!

It is not what it appears. Instead of spending all the money on landscaping and appearance, they need to spend more money on employees and hire quality people. Do not assume your relative is getting the care you are told they are getting or that you are paying for. The food delivered to their room is horrible, often late and many times doesn't come. The two hour checks are a joke. In short, you need to keep a very watchful eye on them. Better yet, don't even consider them.

Haven at Windermere was not my favorite. They were very nice, but I didn't care for the rooms. There was no door between the bedroom and the living room. They said they could put up French doors, but they were glass-paned French doors. The bedroom was not private. If you were sitting in your living room with company, you could look right into the bedroom. The air-conditioning unit in the room doesn't come through a duct in the ceiling or the wall, it's in the lower wall beneath the windows. It's an older place, but it has a nice reputation. They had a room where a man was watching an old movie, and they had a library. People were cleaning as we were there. There's no pool or workout room there, but you have access to The Y, which is across the street. You would have to join The Y if you want to go every day, but they said they had passes they could give you. It's not a spit and polish type of clean, but it's very clean. The staff was very nice, they said hello to everybody as they walked around.

The Haven at Windermere is very clean and very professional. The staff is great with my mom. The buildings and the grounds are great. Location is perfect because it is close to where I live. I've tried their food, and it is good. All in all, it is worth what I'm paying for.

My husband is in The Haven. It is very good and all positive. Everything is excellent -- the meal, the staff, the residents, the facility -- everything is great. Their best feature is their activities because there are lots of activities for the residents. My husband has a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, and it is very resident friendly.

I went to The Haven At Windermere. It has 150 people there. It is a very large structure. I was very taken aback with the spaciousness of their apartments. They were even willing to cut a door into another room. However, they don't pay for the electricity, which I found very odd because you're paying top dollar. That was a very big question mark, and the staff didn't tell me what it costs for one apartment rather than two apartments together. Also she didn't show any extra rooms where you would do different things, like projects, knitting, or entertainment. She didn't show me any rooms that were designated for different things. The manager was very pleasant though. However, I just had a lot of open-ended questions for this facility. When I went into the lobby, they had an enclosed area and the whole area was occupied with the occupants. They sat there and stared at you. They were waiting for lunch to be served. There were no rooms for anything, not even a sitting room where you could go read books or play the piano. You had no place to sit down to fill out your form. This facility was lacking in a lot of things unless the staff could explain it to me.

Very nice facility, very nice managers, and employees. However, even though I was only there for about 2 hours, the residents had already found a reason to make me feel as if I was the "new kid". They should set rules on how residents act in the common areas. Other than that it was great!

this facility is not one that i would recommend to anyone not only because of the corners that are cut by the upper management but also because of how they treat people from the residents and there family to the employees .... on a personal level i would never ever put anyone i care about in this place ...
