After looking at 4-5 facilities, we found Compassionate Care who just happened to have an opening. The center has been a godsend to my grandparents and the rest of our family. The staff at Compassionate Care have definitely become an extended part of our family and we know that my grandparents are in the best hands possible. We have been allowed to bring all of the great grand kids, and even the great "grand dog" for a visit anytime. They have been more than accommodating as we have had family gatherings at the home because my grandma can't go anywhere. We are so much more at ease than we were during the short period of time my grandfather was in a larger nursing home facility. Things at Compassionate Care are so much more personable. One of my grandfather's biggest concerns about leaving his home of over 50 years, was the food. Grandpa was quite a cook and wanted nothing to do with nursing home food. I am pleased to report that not only does he like the food, but he is allowed to help out with preparation, offer recipes, and chat with the staff during meal preparation. The staff do an excellent job of keeping the residents as active as possible. I simply can't say enough wonderful things about this facility.
