Golden Living Center Willow Springs has single rooms and they also have double rooms. The facility was very clean, it was a nice facility. It was an older property, but it was well-maintained, and they had an outdoor area where the residents can get some sunshine, but it's very small. Overall, the aesthetics of it is very nice. It's almost in an industrial area or retail setting, so it's not in an open area whatsoever, and that was kind of a turn off too. The guy who's in charge of the place toured us around. He's only been there a year, but prior to him was when they had the problem with someone walking away from the property. I only met two staff members and they were very nice.

My mother has been staying in Golden LivingCenter. Our experience with them has been good, although you can't do anything because of the COVID, but it's OK. They're good, and the staff there is good. The place is convenient and well-kept.

My mom is currently in Golden Living Center Willow Springs. It is a very nice caring place. They bring her food and they take her to the bathroom. They have rehab, but my mom is in their long-term care. The rooms are nice, kept up and clean. They're like suites in a hotel. Food is good, too. Residents play games. The staff members are caring and nice.

My husband's room at Golden Living Center Willow Springs is excellent and a nice size. He has no companion. It's a private room and it's very clean. For the most part, the staff is excellent. We've developed rapport with them and that's because we are here every day. The chef could use some help. The food is just not palatable for the most part. The residents look at me and say things like, "Anybody got a chainsaw so I can cut this?" He'll do things like make casseroles and every one of the residents leaves that on their plate. I haven't had an opportunity to talk with the chef, but I'm going to speak with him to see how I can offer recommendations. The facility is very clean. The executive director knows their weaknesses and he's working to improve them. They do provide activities, but I have not really engaged in any of them.
