Westminster Village Kentuckiana was good. They showed us one of the guestrooms, the dining area, and the gathering area where they have entertainment. I liked the view out the window of the rooms. There was a lake, grass, and trees. I liked that they had lots of entertainment scheduled if people chose to participate. It was clean. It's one of the older facilities, but I believe the price is a little less, too. So it depends on what a person can afford. I think it's one of the larger ones also. There were tables all set in the dining area and they were getting ready for a meal and everything looked nice. The lady who gave us the tour was the assistant person, not the normal person who shows people around, but she did a great job.

During the pandemic, my mother was left in bed for a year and a half resulting in skin issues and contracture a which have prevented her from being able to get into my car, wear shoes, or go out at all. She is not bedfast. Skin breakdown has not been reported or documented. Many clothing g items have disappeared. Even though they were listed on an inventory, they have not been replaced. I would not recommend this facility. There are a few very sweet staff members but more often, they are unfamiliar and seemingly uncaring. This is not the Westminster that had such a great reputation years ago. It is so sad.

We are very happy with Westminster Health Care Center. They seem to take very good care of Mom, they take care of all her medications and all of the treatments, and they've done everything they're supposed to do. She's in a studio room which has a bathroom, a small utility room, and several closets. It's very nice. Mom is happy with the food. At the moment, I am happy with everything. We pay extra for them to give Mom her medications, baths, and her breathing treatments.

Westminster Village has outside living quarters, or homes on their site for people who don't need assistance. Our visit there was very nice; the staff seemed very helpful, and knowledgeable with all the questions we had. They had all kinds of activities; their activities were really more for people who needed assisted living. They go on trips to different cities, concerts; stuff like that. Of course, in-house they have Bingo, card games; all of those continuously. They bring in outside guests, singers. They offer quite a bit of activities for the residents. We only ate one meal there, but they had a nice dining room, plus a little café, and a little store. I thought it was quite adequate. It was a very clean facility.
