Independent Living Communities in Marble Falls, TX

"I have moved into Ridgemont Village Marble Falls. It's not a big apartment building. There are individual little cottages with an actual garage, and that's one level. I didn't have to move furniture or cart groceries up to a fourth floor. It just had a nice feel to it. I wanted a small town, I didn't want a big city. It isn't an individual cottage, they are Triplexes. There's three of them grouped together, but they are grouped together in a little cul de sac, so it doesn't look like row houses. It's landscaped well and just looks really nice. So far, I've only met the property manager. I haven't met the person yet, but the property manager was about as helpful as they come. I don't do much cooking; I eat frozen things and I go out. There is no food. I would say 90 percent of the residents are widows or single women, and most of them over 55. So, they have kind of a camaraderie here that is really nice. They get together for coffee just about every morning. They have prayer meetings together. They have canasta and card games, and the men have their own card nights. They have potluck dinners, but most of the activities are usually resident driven instead of activities director driven. The landscape is beautiful on the outside, but the insides are gated, and they haven't been upgraded in a while. It met all of the needs that I have, and the other things that I overlooked. In terms of the value for the money, compared to everybody else, I give that the highest rating."

"We were impressed with Arbor House of Marble Falls and my mother liked it. It's very nice and the apartments were very nice and well laid out. The amenities were very good. They seemed to have quite a few activities going on. The residents were very pleased with their care and facility. They were dining when we went there, and the menu looked good. It was a little bit larger facility but not very big."

"We chose Leander Station Senior Village for my dad because it was affordable. The staff is helpful. They don't offer food, but they have activities like bingo, a pool, and there's a game room. Their facilities are just really well-maintained and they have the amenities. It's located near a hospital and restaurants."

" Lake Travis Independent Living is such a warm place to live! It is not only beautiful, but it feels like home the moment you walk through the doors! The staff provides exceptional care to their residents and are attentive, compassionate, and reliable. It has a “family” atmosphere where everyone looks after one another. And the food smells so good! The residents rave about the cooking! They are provided fresh, delicious meals daily. Their rooms are beautiful and very spacious, and they use granite counter tops and upgraded appliances. We love their floor plans and each apartment has a lot of storage space. But what do we like most about this community? We hear laughter and see big smiles as the residents engage with one another! Whether they are painting, singing, or having themed parties! It is always a great time at LTIL."

"We toured Mariposa Apartment Homes at Cedar Park. The tour was wonderful. The guide was very good. She pointed out all of the amenities and answered any questions we had. They did have a pool. They did have small kitchens. They did not serve meals, so that was a plus for them. Things seemed a little dated, and that was the only thing I noticed. They have a game room, a TV room, and an exercise room."

"I visited Longhorn Village, which was further away from central Austin than I wanted to be, but other than that, it was an excellent facility. I have a number of friends who live there, and they're all very happy with it. The staff was fine. It's quite lovely and far enough up the hills to get a lot of open country in a sparsely occupied residential area. It's way far west toward the lake. They have a vehicle that can get you to a hospital and also an ambulance service. "

"My husband's uncle and his wife are both in The Enclave at Cedar Park. They are very friendly, it's very nicely decorated, and just a beautiful place. They started in the main building and then when one of those little cottages came available, they moved into that and they liked it. The food's wonderful and there are lots of opportunities to socialize with other residents, and I just liked it too. Everything looked nice."

"I've moved into Everleigh Lakeline. It's a 55-plus community. From the first day that I walked on the tour, I fell in love with it. It's everything that I want and need to be around other people my age and not just be in my house and just in my bedroom depressed. It's got the amenities, the little arts and crafts, the gym, just things I can do with other people, talk to other people. The staff is great. Everybody here is just so friendly. I have an apartment and it's beautiful. It's got everything that I need. It's the right size for just me. They're family-oriented, too. I had my grandson here this past weekend and we just had so much fun. You can move in, but you can't have anybody stay overnight. That's not the way this property works. I have my dog and my cat. They're my emotional support animals, so I can have them here. Everybody has animals around here, little dogs, medium-sized dogs. They have a big dog park for the animals. I feel at home here. I take my dog out for a walk. We go walking three-and-a-half miles where before I wouldn't even bother taking the dogs out for any type of walk. I get out and talk to everybody. There are people older than me here and I am so surprised at how they can just function and get along well out here. We have a gym here, we have water aerobics, and we have yoga classes. There's a continental breakfast five days a week. Other than that, we have our own kitchens, so we prepare our own food. There's always something going on. It seems like everybody, if they're not exercising or in the pool or whatever, walking, a lot of them walk around here through the facility and there are games that they play. I was just very surprised at how everybody just gathers and greets everybody. Everybody's just so nice here, all the residents are, and the staff is, too. I haven't had problems with the staff at all."
