"The Philadelphia Protestant Home was nice inside, and they offered everything, but they were a little more expensive. The staff who showed me around was nice and knowledgeable. I saw one room and it was nice. The whole facility was very nice."

"Springfield Senior Living was very clean, and the workers there were very professional. I liked how engaged they were with the residents. They showed me the activity room. I noticed that the residents were involved in activities. They were in the dining room, they were watching TV, and they were doing things. Then the apartment itself was very nice. The only criticism I can think of is maybe renovation of the apartments like with the cabinets or something like that, but other than that, everything was very nice. I like it a lot. The staff was very professional and informative. She gave me a folder with all the information in it. I didn't have to ask any questions because all the information was in the folder."

"I went to McCallum Assisted Life. I saw a room with a shared bathroom. The staff told me the price point. They have a doctor every month that comes out to the location. They do things for them, they have activities, and they do the medication. I like the location. The staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and informative. It's an older facility, but it was nice and clean. They had a patio. They did show me the board where they have activities."

"I went to the Pinnacle at Plymouth Meeting. We went in to look at the rooms, they were very nice, and the two people that I met were very good, pleasant, and informative. The rooms were gorgeous. What I saw led to people feeling as if they were in their own home, which is hard to do when you're building a facility. The architecture and structure was very nice, it was spotless, the art that they used to color, it was like modern art, and I knew that my cousins would like it if they chose to go there. The corridors were wide, each floor had a different color, so it provided a difference, so that people weren't seeing the same thing all the time. If they would go from one floor to the other, there would be a variety. There was an opportunity for music, for socializing, as people get used to being there they would go on little groups and feel comfortable about visiting different areas. But with COVID, they can't do that right now."

"Mira Vie at Warren is too far for us, but it was an excellent place. I didn't like that they had separate buildings, so in order to eat, you had to go to another building. I didn't really meet many other staff, but the salesperson was very nice, helpful, and friendly. She was very good. The place seemed very clean. They have a special dining room area where they invite the families. We walked through the dining hall and that looked very clean. The staff showed me one of the rooms which was available at the time. I saw the other living space where a lot of seniors were playing cards and stuff, and that seemed clean and nice. They had a coffee corner there that was nice. I think it's a pretty new facility. But I don't like the location. It is up a hill and far away from where we are. In the wintertime, I do not want to go up a hill."

"We liked the location of Renaissance Home Forks. It's near my house so we can easily check on mom if she moves in there. The place was clean. It didn't have a smell like some other places that older buildings have. Mom said that she didn't notice any smell there. It was a clean facility, so she liked it. When we went there, the director was not on site, but the activity director was and she was so nice enough to show us around and give us answers. Even though she doesn't know all the administrative questions or whatnot, she was able to give us some kind of an idea of how the place was. I liked her. She made my mom agree to give it a try because she was hesitant. She also explained to us that there are certain times for food where you have to come down to the cafeteria to get your food, but if you don't feel like going down, there's a separate fee if you want your food to be brought to your room. The apartment was very nice. They have their own fridge in the room itself. You can just stay in your room and eat there. You don't have to rely on someone. We saw activities happening in the cafeteria that day. It was a pretty decent place."

It is just a five-minute drive to the renowned downtown Lambertville area and downtown New Hope, PA. The Lambertville Estate is brand new on the scene. It was created to fill a void in the senior living space. Specifically, creating a home and environment that is a home, not a mega, 200-500 bed facility. "I have my own house at Village of Buckingham Springs, and everything worked out well. The staff was very good to everyone in the area, and the neighborhood is very friendly and very nice. I enjoyed their pool and other activities, they play cards, and they have some trips. It's a 55+ community. There's no food because it's an independent living, so I do my own cooking. It's a very nice place to live if you're independent, but if you require more care, this place won't work. But since I could care for myself and my home, I just hire people to cut the grass and do things like that."

"We liked Birchwood at Hopewell the most. They're right off of 295 and they're on Denow Road, so there's a lot of shopping, restaurants, and hair salons down that road. The amenities that they offer within the facility are also really nice. The rooms are pretty spacious. It's a very nice and clean place. The lady who gave us a tour was very good. She answered all our questions, took us all around and showed us where the laundry rooms were, and explained everything to us. She was very thorough. They have elevators so if you're on the second floor, it would be easy for you to get to the apartment. Then every floor has its little lounge/waiting/sitting area. They also have game rooms, and movie nights, and they all have their own little balconies, even if they're on the first floor. So, it was beautiful."

"Friends Village was very nice. The woman who took care of me was very informative. She was very good, very nice, and very kind. She tried to explain everything and had all the information already for me. We went through a unit in one of their cottages. It had a nice patio in the back. It was a nice-sized unit. If I did want to go to a place like that, I think you get one meal a day, but I would have to walk outside to get to where the kitchen is. The cottages are separate; they're not attached. The unit was a two-bedroom-two-bath apartment. The older building is in good shape, but it's not modernized. It's nice. It was a nice tour."

"Pickering Manor was nice, but we decided it was just not for us. I probably like that the better of all the places we visited because it's right in Newtown. We saw a cottage, it was nice. They are older but they keep them updated. I thought it was fairly nice. It has two bedrooms, and two bathrooms and they have its own kitchen. You get ten dinners a month with your fee. I didn't see any of the food, it was in the morning. It seemed well taken care of and it's clean. The cottage is for independent living, but you are offered assisted living if you needed it."

"I like the location of Gloria Dei Plaza. It's within walking distance to town and everything. It's a mid and high-rise facility. It's my number one choice. It's a fantastic area. The rent is according to income. The staff members were very nice, accommodating, and a group you could easily interact with."

"Chandler Hall came from a strong recommendation, and from my own observation; plus its close by. I am extremely pleased with the staff. I would recommend them. No complaints with regards to billing, and management. "
