My mother was placed there for physical therapy and to gain strength and weight to be able to come back home. Under their "care", she fell twice, had a large cut above her eye, multiple bruises all over her arms and legs, along with a sore covering almost the entire top of her foot. As if that wasn't bad enough, she lost 6 pounds while there. She had told me that during meals, she wouldn't even be finished and someone would come and take her tray and throw it away. I cannot believe a place like this exists and is allowed to care for other human beings. I pray this information reaches people who are looking to have their loved ones cared for and they do not put them her to suffer the same way my mother did

We visited a friend at ManorCare Health Services. The staff were very nice and cordial. They seem to take care of all the patient's needs, and the place was very clean. Their rooms were very nice. Their dining room is very nice as well although we didn’t eat there. It was very easy to get around. I was really impressed with the way that it was so clean, and a lot of nursing homes are really not clean and smelled, but this one didn’t.

When another nursing home was full, we had to take my mom to Manorcare West. The rooms were very old-fashioned with old furniture but they were clean. She was only there for two and a half weeks because she died April 7th. The staff for the short time that she was there were pretty attentive. A couple of nurses were really good. However, some of the other people were just there for a paycheck.
