My brother is staying at Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. It's close to my house, so the location is convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful. They're good. The place is clean. It's just recently been remodeled and painted. The elevators have recently been updated. They have activities. They do bingo, they do happy hour, they do exercises in the morning, and they play poker. My brother complains sometimes about the food not being up to par. As for the whole community, they're happy and cordial. And my brother is in a studio that has a sufficient amount of space.

I visited Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. I like everything I saw. I like the room sizes, the dining facility, and the people I dealt with on the tour. They were very nice and informative. The building was beautiful and very clean. The sizes of the rooms were adequate. It's a friendly atmosphere.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. The problem I saw is that you had to pay the full price, which included three meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You could go downstairs in the cafeteria and eat those three meals or you can go downstairs and pick them up and take them to your apartment and eat. They showed me a studio. I wasn't impressed with that. I could cook for myself and even the fact you have to get up and get dressed to go downstairs to get breakfast, and then if I went out for doctor's appointments, I would miss lunch, and maybe dinner, too. I didn't like the lock-in price including the three meals. The facility was very clean and nice, and they provided a service where someone came and vacuumed your floor. Every room had a little patio balcony. You can hang a hammock out there just to relax or even just the lounge chair. So each room has that. So that was good, but the parking was very limited. We had to park far from the entrance and walk down towards the entrance, but that's okay because I do walk.

I had an in-person tour of Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. I like the idea that they give everybody or you have to buy a pendant. The dining area was fantastic. It was a very nice arrangement. The staff was very friendly. They have a nursing staff that puts you into programs that would be beneficial to follow up with the pendant, so you're on 24 hours. They have an exercise program that's handled by the nursing staff, but it varies on your needs.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. I thought it was very nicely kept up. It was very clean. The people there seemed happy. The woman, Lori, was very sweet and the receptionist, I believe her name is Theresa, they were super nice. It was a very nice visit, and the price was within our range. I think that my mom would fit in very well there. They did show us the PT department. In the first-floor living space, they did show us one studio of another resident there who has her studio decorated very nicely. They gave my mom a very nice care package, like baked peanut butter cookies and a whole bag of stuff. I mean, they were just very nice. They showed us part of the outside where the garden club takes place. We didn't try the food but the peanut butter cookies, I guess were part of one of the things that the chef makes at the bakery there. My mom said that they were excellent. I do think it was very clean. Some things looked a little older but they were making improvements. In one of the apartments, we did see a resident move out and they were changing and putting in new cabinets and new flooring. So I think they are making a great effort to modernize and update it.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. My mom does get three meals a day. If she doesn't like the lunch or the dinner, they have other options. She liked the one-bedroom apartment, and the monthly price, and she was able to afford it a lot easier. They had the van that took them wherever they wanted to go within 12 miles from the building. We found out a lot of the girls that live there sometimes, on Fridays they all get together. They'll get on the bus and go to lunch together. The person during the tour was very nice and very personable. Any questions you had she answered, even if you didn't have questions, she was bringing things up as we walked around. We didn't have meals there, but I did see them. It looked pretty tasty. I asked some of the women who lived there what they thought about the menu and they had nothing bad to say.

I visited Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. It's hard to give a first impression because they're remodeling, so there's kind of a mess everywhere. The one reason we wouldn't use it is because they don't have stoves and my father likes to do his own cooking. The person during the tour was very nice and very helpful. We did not eat there. The dining area was fine. They have a lot of activities and a lot of different things. They have a library, crafts, and a pool table. If you're a sociable person, that's the place to be because everybody's talking with everyone. It's an older building. They're completely remodeling.

I like the location of Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. I like the closeness to a lot of the medical services that surround the facility. It was being updated as well. It was a nice facility. We met one staff member, and she was wonderful. All the amenities were very top-notch. They were all great. They had an activity center, a small workout center, and a separate dining room for private celebrations if you wanted to do so. They offered a lot of activities daily. They offered transportation by bus. There were a lot of nice amenities that were included.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet was nice. We liked that they had a lot of good activities for your loved ones to enjoy. They also had ambassadors who showed new residents around for a few days to make them comfortable. They had a library and a gym.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Joliet for my father. It seems like a really nice place, but I thought that the prices are very high for seniors because a lot of seniors are only on social security. They were very friendly, and the visit went very well. There were no stoves, so there can be no fire. You got three meals a day, housekeeping once a week, and activities every day.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet is very conscientious, very caring, and just very receptive to the needs of the residents. Mom's apartment is very clean and they keep it warm for the elderly. There are individual thermostats in each room. Their dining area has an excellent vibe. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it is a chef that helps design the meals with dietary needs and nutrition. After every meal, the chef comes out and asks the residents how it was, gets feedback, says hello, and is just very caring. I've tried the food and it was very good. Mom loves it, too. Their onsite services include CNAs that will help if residents need more support in dressing or bathing or anything like that or medications. Then they have occupational therapy, exercise classes that are taught by the staff (just stretching and all that), therapy dogs that come out, a podiatrist that comes onsite too, a beauty salon, and a chapel for services. They've got a lot of activities. There's like a veteran's wall and introductions of new residents. So, they do a lot to promote the community. They also have a card room with a pool table, puzzles and games, a movie room, and a separate dining room so you could bring your family with an oven if you wanted to make a family dinner for your family, bingo, ice cream socials, a Christmas program, and a bus that takes the residents to different trips and then will take them to doctors appointments within ten miles. I think it's well worth the cost and it's a la carte, so you can just add what you need.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet got it going on. They have everything you need. They have a pool table, a puzzle room, a TV, a hair salon, bingo, happy hour, and dancing. Their dining area is so big. It's a restaurant-style where they have set up a menu on what you're going to have, but you can also just come in and tell them what you want. I liked that this place was bright and everybody was bubbly and cheerful. They got all different kinds of setup bedrooms. The two-bedroom looked pretty nice and it comes with a refrigerator in the room. You can have a hot plate if you want it in your room, too. Then you have your bathroom. Some of the rooms had balconies and some had none. It's your choice. If you're on the ground floor, you can have a patio. The lady that gave us the tour was nice and she explained everything to us.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet was very clean and the people seemed to be genuine and friendly. There seemed to be a lot for the seniors to do there. The dining room was nice and the rooms were very nice, and they feed them three meals a day. The only thing that my mom was a little hesitant about was because there was not a place where she could cook for herself if she wanted to. There seemed to be a lot to do there. They have activities going on quite a bit, and they have things going on in the evenings, which I think if my parents were interested, there was something for them to do the majority of the time. They had a pool table, they had puzzles you could do all the time, they had games, cocktails, and things in the evening. The menu seemed like it was pretty good, but I didn't taste it. The staff was very friendly, they seemed to be very engaged with the people. The facilities were very clean.

We went to Solstice Senior Living at Joliet and we loved the staff. It's a wonderful value for the money. It's kind of a small community but the rooms were very spacious and pleasant looking. They had weekly housekeeping and parking for my sister-in-law's car. The staff was just wonderful. I remember she was engaging with some other residents while they were doing all the activities, and she had a nice conversation with them. They all seemed very happy. It was just an older facility.

My mom has been here for 3 years now and loves it. In the last year it has changed management and they are wonderful. So helpful and really care about their residents. I’m so glad we decided to move her here. It is such piece of mind knowing she is so happy. Would highly recommend Solstice.

My mother was in Solstice Senior Living at Joliet for 18 months. They were supposed to have transportation via a bus available, and that never ran. They didn't have a driver. Their driver quit. They had very few activities because their activity director quit, and they didn't hire a new one. Their food was horrendous. They actually served squash every day for lunch and dinner for six weeks straight. It was a miserable experience. It was dirty. They were very understaffed. Actually, her air conditioner broke; it took 48 hours for anybody to come and look at it. She ended up in the hospital with a heat stroke. She had an infestation of earwigs, and we never have any idea where they came from; we had a real struggle getting rid of those. They wouldn't have an exterminator, so we had to deal with it ourselves. The only thing that we liked about it was that she developed some friendships with other residents. There were times that they forgot to feed people. There were people who were confined to their room for whatever their health reason was, and they forgot to take some food, including my mother. If you just didn't want to have your meal in the dining room, you would have to pay for the delivery service (which is reasonable).

I went to tour Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. I really liked that one. Everything was nice. It seemed like they had a lot of activities going on there. They brought in some dogs that day we were there. I think they're called comfort dogs. Everybody was coming down to visit the dogs and stuff. It seemed like they had a pretty full calendar of things for them to do and stuff. The staff who assisted me were very nice. Everything looked nice. It looked clean and well-kept. They showed me around. Everything looked nice. The dining area looked very nice. They showed us the menu. I thought they had a nice livelier atmosphere there just because of the number of activities that they had, and the dogs were there the day we were there. They seemed a little more active.

My mother will be moving into Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. She found herself to like it. The people are good to deal with and everything went very smoothly. The staff members were fine. They were helpful and open. She got a one-bedroom apartment. They've got a calendar of activities on the wall. There's something different every day, and it's a list of many different things. The building is adequate. There's nothing out of the ordinary. It's an apartment complex.

We like Solstice Senior Living at Joliet except for the parking spaces. There weren't any to be had for the amount of living spaces in that building. You would have to park in the alley or somewhere on the street when there's no parking. Their parking lot is not big enough for the building. They wanted to know everything about our business. The staff were all very nice. They did not let us go in there to see the rooms because of covid-19 at the time. Driving around, you could see their patio from the outside. The lady I met there was nice.

My mother-in-law will be moving to Solstice in Joliet this April. I went to visit this morning, and they have a very clean, welcoming environment. The employees are very down-to-earth and realistic kinds of people. They're very helpful, kind, and welcoming, too. It was very nice to walk in and not feel like I was a burden. I just really like their facilities, too. It's clean, and they have a lot to offer. It was very organized, and the structure of the place in general, the decorating, and everything is welcoming and warm. They're also updating everything so the livable places were very nice.

I toured Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. It's nice, welcoming, and a lot of activities there. Other than that, they only have dining once a day, and the rest they serve in the rooms. My mother likes to cook, but they don't have a stove there, and they only have a small fridge. They kind of seemed like they were independent living, but not really. The residents looked more like they needed assistance.

We toured Solstice Senior Living at Joliet and decided on it. It's independent living exclusively. It's got a very large restaurant, three meals a day, and two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit. They have one open on the first floor, but we didn't take it because the second and third floors have a large balcony around it, so we're waiting for one of those to open up in the back section of the building. It had everything, but we didn't like the outside parking.

Solstice Senior Living at Joliet is very nice. The director who showed us around did a great job. I felt the place was a little older, but it was clean and decent. The rooms were very nice and would have been perfect.

I liked Solstice. It's a nice place. The building is fairly new and the rooms were nice. It has a big restaurant-style eating facility. The tenants have a key to the door and you can get extra keys for a sibling or whoever so that they are able to come in to visit them any time. I met two people and they were very nice. There's an outside company that you can contract for housecleaning and things like that.

I had lunch here. The facility was very good except I felt like I was 85, and I'm only 80 years old. The staff was very good and Julie was very nice. They're very knowledgeable for the community that they're serving. The environment was nice. I didn't like the apartments because some of them didn't have kitchens. It's very clean, no odors, and very nice. The food was super, but I don't want to be served three meals a day. I also don't want to sit down with a bunch of elderly people who are in wheelchairs. The facility was nice, but I didn't care for it. It wasn't my cup of tea.

The staff members are very friendly. They offer food and assistance for getting around on a bus. They have people that come and do music regularly for the residents. They offer church service in-house for both Catholic and non-denominational. The dining area is very open and well put together. The room is very nice. We moved Nana quickly because it was significantly better.

I have been here several times because my sister is there right now. They are very nice, and I think they treat my sister very nicely. They put her in a guest room, at least, for 90 days. She plays Bingo and participates in other functions, depending on how she feels. It is kept very clean, and the food is good. My sister likes the food. The room that she is in right now is nice.

The staff was courteous, helpful, and answered all the questions that I had. The models for studio apartments and one-bedroom apartments were very nice and roomy. They had a menu of choices for food, which were satisfactory. They do housekeeping, but they do not dust.

We went and the place was beautiful. The girl had been very, very helpful. They have a health care facility right there too, so it was a perfect spot. The apartments were fine. They were nice. The room that we looked at was fine. It was very nice. The workers and the sales rep were very friendly and helpful.

We have him in this residence now. The place is wonderful, and he is happy. They are very nice. They have all kinds of things to do like playing cards, and entertainment comes in. They take them to basketball games and movies. They do all kinds of things. The food is great, and the dining area is big with lot of tables. The people are happy. The staff is great; whatever you need, you can just talk to them, and it's not a problem. It's just a clean and nice place with friendly people.

We visited and it was very nice. They offered the kind of services that my aunt would need. The facility was very neat and clean. The people that I met there were very welcoming. All of the services that we needed such as her food and housekeeping, and if she was in that frame of mind, everything would have worked out well.

The food was good. My friend was there for a couple of weeks. He thought the people weren't friendly. The staff didn't make themselves too available. They do have activities that the people seem to take part in. Their activities seemed to be adequate. The apartment was a two bedroom. The bedroom was small with a living area; the kitchen was also small, but it was adequate. My friend was unhappy there.

It is close to where I live. The people are wonderful. The rooms are very good. They have anywhere from a studio to a 2-bedroom. They have numerous activities and they do a lot of different things, like they go out to lunch once a week. I guess the only thing is they could probably run their bus more than just in the morning.

I thought the sales girl was very nice, very helpful, very good, and very sweet. The facility is very clean and everything is really nice. I think the rooms are really small, but that's all we could afford. I thought that they were nicely designed for his needs. He has some mobility issues, so he stays in his room and watches TV all day. I just think that I'd like to see the rooms maybe a little bit bigger and have a little bit more in-house facilities available for the residents, because my dad having mobility issues it's hard for him to get on a bus. I know it's not an assisted living, but maybe have a little bit more available for people of his situation.

It had more of an independent feel. It had apartments, a dining room, an exercise area, and a physical therapy area. They also have a maid service there. I didn’t spend a whole lot of time with the staff, but I find them friendly. I was invited to eat, but I did not although the presentation of the food was acceptable.

I went to visit. It was enormous, beautiful, clean and immaculate. Their studio apartments were not too big. They had a lot of entertainment, reading room, activity room, etc. The woman told us every detail that we needed to know. I was so impressed with it and it was a wonderful experience.
