My father is in rehab at Elevate Care Abington. It's really clean. The upkeep is done very well. You could tell that they maintain the property. Nice aesthetics. Very welcoming staff. The rooms are nice and roomy. My dad has told me that they're attentive to them. They don't ignore them. They're actually really attentive to their needs. I don't really know what they offer because my dad has to get a specific physical therapy for his hip, and I know they do that with him. He says the food is OK, but he doesn't always go by the diet he's supposed to. He says that they give him pretty good food. It's just kind of bland for him. He's always trying to order other things.

This is the most unprofessional, terrible facility imaginable. They have a nice lobby, and it ends with that. The care is bad, communication is horrible, the staff is beyond rude and useless. (Not the nursing staff, those higher up.) No one cares, listens, follows up or take ANY accountability for anything at all. Stay far far away from here.

My father is at Elevate Care Abington. It's hit or miss. First of all, I don't think they have enough staff, particularly seeing only a couple around several clients or people that need of care. So, they use agencies. Some of the people who come from the agencies are good and some of them are not. For these places to be considered forever homes for some people, my dad being one of them, I would never want this to be anybody's forever home. The workers are transient, so that means that they could care less about the people. But that's not all of them. It's a lot with the agencies coming and going. And it's frightening for an elderly person to see somebody new every day draw their blood. So, the level of consistency is weak. You have a few people that work hard and they carry everybody. I would say 30% of the staff in terms of nursing care are CNAs, and they care and they are working hard. And the other 70% are just sitting around the nurse's stations on their cell phones. It's got a good living community. The rooms are decent and nice. They do have a variety of food and it's decent. They try to make different types of foods that people from multiple cultures would not mind eating. So there's diversity and variety in the cooking. This spans a bunch of different ethnic groups, and they have been mindful of that. The place is fairly clean. There are no funny smells or anything like that when I come in. They keep a really good schedule with the food. They have designated time for people to eat. The activities director tries to get everybody involved. The reason they're getting a 3-star rating is that they have some exceptional people working there and then a few, and then everybody else. If you tell them about something that you don't like or that you're seeing, they are responsive. They'll work with you. It's just that it doesn't stick.

So far my father is still a patient at the facility, so far not very impressed with the care, Some hiccups have happened, but I was told it would be improvements, so iam trying to give them a fair chance to see if things have improved by the time my father is discharged. So I will come by to say yah or nah. Some to be continued

My wife just entered Abington of Glenview for rehab. Her reception and admission could not have been any better. Everybody was so nice and friendly, that it set her mind fully at ease. I would give it 20 stars if I could!

The Abington of Glenview was there for me after my accident and during the difficult era of the pandemic. The rooms were super nice, and the staff was more supportive than I could have ever imagined. Despite being one of the youngest patients, I felt so close to many of the other residents. There are many amenities such as amazing equipment for recovery and exercise. There is also a little birdcage that is so enjoyable to look at.

My mother stayed here for a month during the pandemic restrictions. Visitations were restricted at the time for one family member once per week for 30 minutes. She was being treated for wound care infections. They followed the wound care treatment protocol and they communication was great as they would call us weekly with the care team to provide updates. Nursing were great and they would answer all of our questions. My mother was receiving physical therapy and occupational therapy as well. The facility was clean and you can even smell fresh in the air. The rooms were big enough and she was the only one in the room. They even have flat TV screen in the walls! My mother didn’t complain about the food as she is diabetic so she is used to follow a no salt no sugar diet. She really loved their ice cream! Plus everyone has their own preference and taste for food so is hard to please everyone. We really care more about the treatment to my mother than the food to be honest. I would recommend this facility based on our experience with them.

My wife is in a memory care program in Glenview, Illinois. It's called the Abington and she's doing all right. There are days that are not so good, but they're working with her and giving her the attention that she needs and I'm very satisfied with it. The Abington worked out for us because my wife had some physical problems too and they were able to give her the physical therapy that she needed and then she was able to transition to memory care. Things are going very well and thank you so much for the recommendations. It worked out to be a very good one. It got me going and started in the right direction. They've been around for 30 years, they have physical therapy and they have a memory care unit that houses about 18 people and they provide the care and the support that's necessary. The staff is caring, dedicated, and very professional. Because of COVID though, they only have outside visitations, and the time is very limited and now I only see my wife on Zoom sessions. The facility is clean, well maintained, the lighting is terrific, the place feels friendly and cheerful, and the rooms are extremely clean. I think it's really nice. The activities seem to be very good; I only know about the memory care activities. From the discussion I had with the director of the program, they have the clients engaged a good part of the day. They have things going on to try to keep the persons that they serve engaged and interested. They don't watch a lot of TV and that's good. It seems to be very comparable to every place else. I think the value for the money is good.

The stars are for the cleanliness, nurses, and CNA’s. Rehab therapists get 5 stars. They are terrific! The room is nice too...very cozy. OK, now for the food...that is a 1*! The food is horrible and so are the drinks. Shasta, diet lemonade, and INSTANT COFFEE -no brewed coffee. Cookies taste like cardboard. Food has no flavor. Be prepared to bring in your food and drinks!

I thought I had found the perfect place for my mom unfortunately I was wrong. My mom was in the Alzheimer's section called Abby lane since May 2016 but on March 23 we received a call that she was being taken to the hospital because she fell in the washroom because she was left alone and fell hitting her head on th door frame splitting her head open needing 13 stitches. Unfortunately she lasted about a month before passing. I as m so disappointed in this facilty.

I was at Abington of Glenview for rehab. The service was good. It was interesting because you could eat wherever you wanted, so I ate in my room. They had beautiful surroundings. The staff was very good, accomplished, and willing to help.

My mother went to The Abington for rehab. That facility was very lovely. She was there for three weeks. The people were very nice there. That was very clean and very pleasant to visit when she was there. I was very happy with her recovery. They did rehab with her, and they were very good about it. I would definitely recommend The Abington for anyone who had to do rehab.

They hacked up my fathers toes while clipping his toenails. DO NOT let them clip your loved ones toenails!
