I visited Applewood Assisted Living on Easter of 2011. The facility was gorgeous inside, containing beautiful hardwood floors. Everything was very clean from the bathrooms to the individual rooms that the guests were staying in. Everything was easily accessible, including multiple elevators and stairways. We were visiting for Brunch, and while it may have been a holiday, the food was nothing short of 5 star. The cooks were very friendly and knowledgeable about each dish. I was very surprised with the quality of the food. It was far from hospital quality food, and it kept me going back for more. Most of the people living at the facility had a care giver with them in the dining room who would assist them if needed. All in all it was a pleasant experience and seemed like more of a vacation than a care facility. I was not shown around the entire complex, but I believe they had an indoor swimming pool as well. All I can say is that if I ever need to end up in a care facility I would hope I stay in one that has the same level of quality and care that Applewood had.
