What ongoing training does the staff receive in dementia care?
Our professional management company, Priority Life Care (www.prioritylc.com) provides a comprehensive program known as "Along the Journey" for our Memory Care Residents. Along the Journey is a program designed specifically to address the needs for our Memory Care Residents.
Describe the overall population of assisted living residents at Manchester Court. What is their average age? What are their favorite things to do?
Manchester Court offers services catered to both Assisted Living and Memory Care. The average age of our Residents is +/- 72 years. Our Residents enjoy an open floor-plan environment throughout the Community, in addition to two internal courtyards and an aviary room where we have two wonderful birds that our Residents care for.
What programs or activities does Manchester Court offer to enrich residents' well-being?
At Manchester Court, we plan activities seven days a week for all of our Residents. We have a dedicated Activities Director who coordinates these events and ensures our Residents are engaged with other Residents.
What places are near Manchester Court or within walking distance for assisted living residents to enjoy?
Manchester Court is located in a quiet cul-de-sac within a mile from Rockdale Piedmont Hospital. Milstead Park and Pine Log Park are a short drive from our Community.
What transportation services does Manchester Court offer to assisted living residents?
At this time, Manchester Court does not offer transportation services to our Residents. We will assist and help coordinate transportation needs for our Residents and their families.
What makes the chef or dining program at Manchester Court exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?
Our community offers three delicious and nutritious meals each day with our menu being designed by a Registered Dietitian to meet a variety of diets as prescribed by the Resident’s physician. We utilize our professional management company’s dining program known as “Priority Life Care Nutritional Program”.
What safety features or security measures does Manchester Court offer to assisted living residents?
Our Community features a coded keypad at each point of entry through out the building.
How does Manchester Court keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?
We communicate with our Resident Families through a variety of methods. First and foremost, we create a foster an environment where we welcome personal and direct communication with our families. Our goals is to have our Resident families become an integral part of the Community to reinforce the sense of family at the community.
What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Manchester Court during daytime and nighttime hours?
During the overnight hours, we maintain a minimum of two team members at the community.
If Manchester Court accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?
Yes, we do! We love pets! We have two indoor courtyards and a large green space area in the front of our Community.
What ongoing senior care training does the staff receive?
Our professional management company, Priority Life Care (www.prioritylc.com) provides in-person and on-line training to all of our team members on a monthly basis. We track this training protocol and monitor each team members progress.
How many staffers are on duty in the daytime and overnight?
Manchester Court maintains a staff of over 50 individuals. We ensure there are ample individuals available throughout the day and night to care for our Residents.
What safety features or security measures does Manchester Court provide to protect residents who wander?
Our Community features a coded keypad at each point of entry through out the building. In addition, our team members are trained to know each Residents' personal needs and maintain 'situational awareness' for our Residents.
What programs or activities does Manchester Court offer to keep residents engaged? How does the staff engage residents' long-term memories?
At Manchester Court, we plan activities seven days a week for all of our Residents. We have a dedicated Activities Director who coordinates these events and ensures our Residents are engaged with other Residents.
Who assesses residents' health and cognitive functioning? How often is that assessment repeated?
At Manchester Court, we employ a Registered Nurse (RN) on staff. Our RN will conduct an initial Resident Assessment prior to joining our Community and will update this Assessment every three months.
What techniques does Manchester Court use to support memory care residents during mealtimes?
Our professional management company, Priority Life Care (prioritylc.com) provides a comprehensive program known as "Along the Journey" for our Memory Care Residents. Along the Journey is a program designed specifically to address the needs for our Memory Care Residents. This program is designed to provide five (5) meals throughout the day. The smaller, more frequent meals allows our Memory Care Residents to receive the nutritional requirements necessary and keeps each Resident engaged during the dining times.
How does Manchester Court keep residents' families informed about their loved ones' health?
We communicate with our Resident Families through a variety of methods. First and foremost, we create a foster an environment where we welcome personal and direct communication with our families. Our goals is to have our Resident families become an integral part of the Community to reinforce the sense of family at the community.

Manchester Court is located in a quiet cul-de-sac within a medical office park. Manchester Court is located within 1 mile of Piedmont Rockdale Hospital.
Is Manchester Court affiliated with a hospital if more care is needed?
Yes, we are affiliated with a Physician Group, Transitional Care Physicians of America (www.tcpamd.org/). TCPA maintains an affiliation with Piedmont Rockdale and Piedmont Newton Hospitals in addition to several Rehab & Rehabilitation centers in Conyers.

About Manchester Court
Manchester Court is licensed by the state of Georgia as a 70 bed-Assisted Living Community. Located 1.5 miles from Rockdale Medical Center in Conyers, GA, we are a family-owned Assisted Living and Memory Care community.
Our residents are supervised 24/7 by certified and trained healthcare professionals to ensure that they are safe and comfortable. Each resident is assessed prior to living at Manchester Court and assessed regularly after to ensure the proper and tailored care is provided. We provide support for activities of daily life including medication management and administration, help with bathing, dressing, hygiene, transferring, and more.
Daily activities and weekly outings are planned to help residents stay physically active, mentally alert and socially engaged. Our activities director meets with residents regularly to gauge new interests and offer new activities.
