"I toured Prema at Ashton Hills. It's a very clean facility. It's very nice. The staff is friendly. That's why I wanted my mother to be able to be there. It's just the level of care that she needs that didn't work for them. They had activities every day, they had bingo and different programs. They have a movie room and activity area. I spoke to one person who was a manager. She followed up with me. She kept me informed of what they were doing. I met two because they sent a nurse out to evaluate my mother. She was very nice and very professional. I don't have anything bad to say about them at all. I don't know about the maintenance, but the cleanliness, there was no odor whatsoever. It was like walking into the lobby of a nice hotel."

"My sister was at Joy Senior Living. It's a relatively new facility. They only had like two or three people on the assisted living side, and right now I think they've got about ten on the memory care side. The number of residents was somewhat limited, which made it easier for the staff, and I saw that as an advantage. The place is really real nice, neat, clean, and well kept. Even though my sister was only going to be there for a few days, I saw that as an advantage. The care seemed to be pretty good. My sister seemed happy. She was more concerned with what she was going to get to eat, and the quality of the food and all that, and she was pleased with that. She was satisfied with the amount of food and the quality of the food she got for meals. As for the staff, the director and one of the owners were excellent to work with."

"The rooms are very nice. Each room has their own bathroom and bedroom. We were able to decorate it to make it feel like home for my Dad. He has a living room for his TV and sitting area. We had fun decorating and putting up pictures of our family. He has a refrigerator and microwave that is provided in his room. The staff members are awesome. They take time to answer any questions that we might have. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love to interact with them. They are wonderful, caring people that love all of the people who live there. They have lots of activities that the people there can be involved in to interact with others. Each month they get a calendar with daily events that will take place. They have singing, special activities, Bingo, and a place to put puzzles together. It is a great place for your loved one to live. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a great place for someone that they love. "

"I toured Oaks at Eagles Landing. They had several different activities for everyone across the board. It was very clean and very neat. They were well-staffed, and they had different options. There's a main building where you can stay in there in your own room or across the parking lot, they have studio homes also for seniors. The ground was nice and well-maintained. The administrative desk was attentive to whatever questions I had and made sure that they found the right personnel to answer the question if they didn't know the answer. There was a reception waiting area that was very orderly. It was very efficient."

"The owner is an exceptional person! Our first meeting Ms. B informed us of how she previously cared for her residents and we wanted that same care for our mom. Her genuine spirit let me know we located the right place for our mom. Her home is immaculate, all way clean and fresh. Mom was always dress, looking beautiful and smelled amazing. Ms B is a woman that truly cares for her residents. Remember to visit your love ones and always consider the caregiver.Ms B has become my family and I visit her as often as I need too. I'm bsolutely glad I was sent her way. "

"Magnolia Senior Living was really nice and I loved their room setup because it really looks like a little apartment. It gives the residents a little bit more independence. They have a lot of nice things in the recreation area and they offer a variety of different sports and hobbies. The dining area was really nice, and when I went there they were having a luau. Just to see all the stuff and how much care and thought they put into, you'd think you were in a fine restaurant. The staff was really lovely, nice, and pleasant. Even when they were busy, they were patient, went over things with me, and the lady there even called me afterward just to check to see if I found anything. I'd definitely recommend them. They had so much for the residents to do."

"Of the three facilities I've looked at, Monarch Villa at Stockbridge was the most upscale and has the most amenities. It was the most attractive, it was beautiful, the ground was full of flowers and the courtyards all had sun and were open. Everything was very clean and very neat. They had facilities directly in this particular wing area, where they could take residence to bathe them and weigh them. And the setup was just really, really conducive to someone in advanced stages of dementia, where they could be comfortable. Because there was nowhere around, in my view, where I could see anything that looked restrictive. And yet everything that I was looking at was restricted, though there were no obvious locks, there were no heavy doors. Everything was wide open and yet somehow it was very, very protected. They have both assisted living and memory care. They try to keep their numbers down to below 60. She said that typically of the 2-3 wings, they try to gear one wing towards the patients with memory care. She also said that just keeping them all on the same schedule and routine, and helps with their memories. The other wing looks the same, except that the restroom where they could take residence to be bathed and weighed is a bit farther. Whereas in the memory care wing, it was right there. The cafeteria and everything were right there in that whole memory area. They had small touches like there was a thought pattern for all the artwork there. The area that we were on was called The City or The Cities. Every picture was like a city skyline. Every door has something that has something to do with the city. You were on that block the whole time and she was saying that this was something that they had carefully thought out because of the residents."

"Oaks at Tucker is convenient and close to family. They had a lot of parking out front. They had a bus that they used to take people around. The place was clean. The people were friendly. They had activities going on that the residents could participate in. They have different levels of care throughout the place, so you can have different services based on your needs. I looked at two different sizes of space. One was like a little efficiency, and the other was more like a little apartment. They had a microwave and a refrigerator. I would consider them myself. The staff was very professional. They have an outdoor area."

"I liked The Carriages of Mt. Zion. I liked the people. I liked the room. The room was beautiful. The dining area was spacious. The tables were set apart. There was a lot of parking for people who lived there, and they had spaces for people who were visiting. The staff was cordial. She took me one-on-one and took me to every room. She even showed me rooms that were occupied that were willing to introduce themselves. She took me to the outside area and their breakroom. She was very personable. The facility was large, beautiful, and everything looked brand new."

"The best thing about Holbrook Decatur was it was extremely nice. The worst thing was it was expensive. It was on the upper end of the budget. The only person I met was the person that was meeting us for the tour, and they were late and they were in a hurry. They were perfectly nice, but we had to wait in the waiting room for 15-20 minutes, and then they were in a hurry. The facility was brand new."

"Legacy Personal Care Home was small, intimate, and had a very low number of people. There are only six rooms and they have 24/7 CNA care plus the owner worked as a nurse before and she's there every day. A doctor comes in about twice a week, too. I met some of the residents and they were all very happy, cheerful, looked very content, and engaged in some activities in the kitchen. There was also another family visiting and they all seemed very happy that their loved one was there. I just got good vibes from them. Some of the other facilities we went to had to charge me extra to bring the food to my wife's room and didn't know if they could make the stuff that she wants, but the owner of this place said that they will accommodate my wife's meal requirements and what she likes to eat every day. It was also very clean (I'm very picky about tidiness and cleanliness). It's one floor. Although it's an older home, it has been refurbished inside. It's very nice. There were no odors nor clutter and a lot of the furniture looked brand new. So, they keep it looking nice. The tile and the floors were shiny, clean, and all that."

"My dad is moving here. It appears clean and appears to have a modern layout. He's on the third floor (which would be kind of a drawback), but they make rounds every two hours to check on every individual; so that helps. The rooms are adequate, and they 're up to date as far as the equipment. The bathrooms are large, and there's a large walk-in shower. It's basic, but it's very adequate. We're just moving in, so I can't get in too much detail on the staff. They've been pleasant in working with us, but he's actually just moving in tomorrow. They have a theater room, and they have games. No activities were going on at the time, but that's not a main focus for us. I haven't tried the food, but the menus look good; the variety looks good."

"My friend chose them because of the space mostly, in the hallway, in the dining room, in the entrance. The others were too claustrophobic. They're spread apart nicely. It's just a better community. The sales guy is just the most wonderful man in the world. We got my friend the one-bedroom with the den. We could move all her furniture. It has a big bathroom, which is nice if you're in a wheelchair. It's comfortable. There's a huge walk-in closet and a linen closet. It's perfect. I have no complaints whatsoever about it. The staff is more than fabulous. You go one time and they remember you. Every single time that you're back, they remember your name, they remember who you are. They're just wonderful and most of them have been in there for over 20 years. The staff is the cream of the crop. My friend is bedridden, so her three meals will be served in her room. It comes in China, silverware, and a tray, so I'm excited about that. She gets a choice of what to eat. It's beautiful, and the people are so nice. It's just great."

"We went for an interview at Angels PCH LLC and the young lady was great. She works with us no matter what problem we have. She was very nice. The place is really clean and smells good. I got to visit all the people that were staying there, and they were very pleased. I was there to visit the people who stayed there. It was great. We've got to be volunteers to play bingo games with them, me and my wife because we're in our 70s and they invited us back. They told us to come back anytime we want. They've got games and everything. They had a courtyard."
