"I really like the relationships i noticed that were being built between staff and residents. I noticed some of the staff members showing companionship and friendship with some of the residents. One of the CNA's was sharing a personal photo album with of her family with one of the senior residents. "

"I toured Prema at Ashton Hills. It's a very clean facility. It's very nice. The staff is friendly. That's why I wanted my mother to be able to be there. It's just the level of care that she needs that didn't work for them. They had activities every day, they had bingo and different programs. They have a movie room and activity area. I spoke to one person who was a manager. She followed up with me. She kept me informed of what they were doing. I met two because they sent a nurse out to evaluate my mother. She was very nice and very professional. I don't have anything bad to say about them at all. I don't know about the maintenance, but the cleanliness, there was no odor whatsoever. It was like walking into the lobby of a nice hotel."

"It is beautiful. My father seriously considered it, but it was too far away from his doctors. The facility was really nice. Everything was perfect, clean, and all the lights were lit. The lady who gave us the tour knew all the names of all the residents. She was very personable and answered all of our questions. The residents were moving around and seemed very comfortable. They had a place outside where they could sit and get fresh air. They had a lot of freedom and seemed very happy. They had a private room where family could come and eat with your family member. It's a newer facility and was immaculate. They had a chair rail down the hall; I ran my finger down, and it wasn't dusty. I was looking for little things as an indicator of the kind of care they give to the building since it's probably the same kind of care they give to the residents."

"My sister was at Joy Senior Living. It's a relatively new facility. They only had like two or three people on the assisted living side, and right now I think they've got about ten on the memory care side. The number of residents was somewhat limited, which made it easier for the staff, and I saw that as an advantage. The place is really real nice, neat, clean, and well kept. Even though my sister was only going to be there for a few days, I saw that as an advantage. The care seemed to be pretty good. My sister seemed happy. She was more concerned with what she was going to get to eat, and the quality of the food and all that, and she was pleased with that. She was satisfied with the amount of food and the quality of the food she got for meals. As for the staff, the director and one of the owners were excellent to work with."

"The rooms are very nice. Each room has their own bathroom and bedroom. We were able to decorate it to make it feel like home for my Dad. He has a living room for his TV and sitting area. We had fun decorating and putting up pictures of our family. He has a refrigerator and microwave that is provided in his room. The staff members are awesome. They take time to answer any questions that we might have. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I love to interact with them. They are wonderful, caring people that love all of the people who live there. They have lots of activities that the people there can be involved in to interact with others. Each month they get a calendar with daily events that will take place. They have singing, special activities, Bingo, and a place to put puzzles together. It is a great place for your loved one to live. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a great place for someone that they love. "

"My mom moved into Oaks at Snellville. It's close to the house. It was what we needed, because we needed memory care that was close by. We get good communication from the place. They always seem to call us with anything, whether positive or negative. I've sat down with my mother to eat, so I've seen the food that they give her, and it seems good quality and nutritious. The activity director is always on top of things. She put a lot of her personal self into trying to find activities for the residents, so I am definitely happy with that. Right now, I'm happy with what we're paying for, and what we're getting from it."

"My parents will be moving into Oaks at Eagles Landing. The facility was very clean and open. The grounds were kept well. My parents are getting a cottage. It's like a house. The staff was excellent, attentive, very professional, and very detailed with the information. The tour was wonderful. They sold us on the first day. They provided lunch, and it was wonderful. I saw some residents in the physical therapy room."

"What I like best is its location. What I like least is that there are floors, so you might end up having to take a unit on a floor where you'd have to take an elevator to get up and down from your room, or from your room to where you dine or whatever. I prefer the facilities that have ground-level accommodations and resident quarters. We were looking for assisted living, but I'm not sure if they separate the care because everything blends seamlessly. I don't know if they have memory care on another floor, because they allow the residence to move and travel throughout the facility. We had an appointment and the staff member was on time, and they were very professional. They offered us food. We were there during a time where they were finishing up meals, and everything seemed very nice. We did not try the food. I think they had clam chowder or something. Some of the amenities and areas there weren't as nice as the others. It was very clean. I actually live next to Stockbridge, so if we needed to check on my mom or do anything, then it would be in close proximity. It's also near an emergency hospital, shopping, and restaurants. It's also easy to get to."

"The Sheridan at Eastside was very new, very attractive, and I felt comfortable. It didn't feel like a facility, it was more of a home. The staff was very helpful, easy to work with, and prepared for questions. They had a salon, the dining area looks like a restaurant, and they have a meeting area with a piano for music and entertainment. They had an activities room and a garden too."

"The owner is an exceptional person! Our first meeting Ms. B informed us of how she previously cared for her residents and we wanted that same care for our mom. Her genuine spirit let me know we located the right place for our mom. Her home is immaculate, all way clean and fresh. Mom was always dress, looking beautiful and smelled amazing. Ms B is a woman that truly cares for her residents. Remember to visit your love ones and always consider the caregiver.Ms B has become my family and I visit her as often as I need too. I'm bsolutely glad I was sent her way. "

"Magnolia Senior Living was really nice and I loved their room setup because it really looks like a little apartment. It gives the residents a little bit more independence. They have a lot of nice things in the recreation area and they offer a variety of different sports and hobbies. The dining area was really nice, and when I went there they were having a luau. Just to see all the stuff and how much care and thought they put into, you'd think you were in a fine restaurant. The staff was really lovely, nice, and pleasant. Even when they were busy, they were patient, went over things with me, and the lady there even called me afterward just to check to see if I found anything. I'd definitely recommend them. They had so much for the residents to do."

"Of the three facilities I've looked at, Monarch Villa at Stockbridge was the most upscale and has the most amenities. It was the most attractive, it was beautiful, the ground was full of flowers and the courtyards all had sun and were open. Everything was very clean and very neat. They had facilities directly in this particular wing area, where they could take residence to bathe them and weigh them. And the setup was just really, really conducive to someone in advanced stages of dementia, where they could be comfortable. Because there was nowhere around, in my view, where I could see anything that looked restrictive. And yet everything that I was looking at was restricted, though there were no obvious locks, there were no heavy doors. Everything was wide open and yet somehow it was very, very protected. They have both assisted living and memory care. They try to keep their numbers down to below 60. She said that typically of the 2-3 wings, they try to gear one wing towards the patients with memory care. She also said that just keeping them all on the same schedule and routine, and helps with their memories. The other wing looks the same, except that the restroom where they could take residence to be bathed and weighed is a bit farther. Whereas in the memory care wing, it was right there. The cafeteria and everything were right there in that whole memory area. They had small touches like there was a thought pattern for all the artwork there. The area that we were on was called The City or The Cities. Every picture was like a city skyline. Every door has something that has something to do with the city. You were on that block the whole time and she was saying that this was something that they had carefully thought out because of the residents."

"Dogwood Forest of Grayson was very modern. It's relatively new with wide open hallways, long corridors for the residents, and a lot of seating. When I walked in, I was very comfortable. You could hear people talking and they had activities that were going on. There was music, they were playing bingo, chess, and there were tables laid out for card games. They also have a physical/speech therapy room for exercise, which I liked. The dining area was very nice and very spacious. The rooms were very nice-sized."

"My mother has dementia and at the last minute my family had to make a decision to place her in an assisted living facility. I visited Atria Park and immediately I was like this is where I would like my mom to live. Olivia and the staff were very accommodating and patient with my family as my mom was moving from another state. My mom is adjusting very well and even calls Atria her home. I feel a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you."

"I liked The Carriages of Mt. Zion. I liked the people. I liked the room. The room was beautiful. The dining area was spacious. The tables were set apart. There was a lot of parking for people who lived there, and they had spaces for people who were visiting. The staff was cordial. She took me one-on-one and took me to every room. She even showed me rooms that were occupied that were willing to introduce themselves. She took me to the outside area and their breakroom. She was very personable. The facility was large, beautiful, and everything looked brand new."
