The first thing I noticed when I parked at Nena's Comfort of Home was it was a private home, very well cared for, good landscaping and plenty of room. The downside was it is close to a very busy street and traffic noise was fairly loud. I noticed there were two staff members present at the time of my visit, one staff member was assisting the residents and the other staff member was preparing lunch which smelled quite good. I was able to visit in several resident's rooms with the residents and the rooms were very spacious and the residents were very happy. I noticed the facility offers various activities for the residents such as arts and crafts, movie night, transportation to doctor's appointments, etc. In the back of the facility there is a large outdoor area and patio for the residents to be able to sit outside and enjoy nature.

My Brother is in this home. They do nothing to help him try to walk again. From the bed to the wheel chair to the TV room he sit until lunch or dinner or until he want to go to bed. They don't cut hair or hair every week. I had to do it my self. In the back of the facility there is a large outdoor area and patio for the residents to be able to sit outside and enjoy nature. But, they NEVER take them out. Owner said the family need to do it. When I go visit the staff is either watching TV or outside smoking. I am looking for another place for my Brother. The staff is rude to me. Try to tell me when I can and can not come in. The care that they give my Brother, I can't understand how can they charge these elder people so much money for the care that they give to them.
